Jacob’s pov
I woke up with a huge smile on my face. I couldn’t wait to get to work and see Alexa’s smiling face. She was going to be the best part of my day. I hurried to get ready and left for work.
I walked in and looked in Alexa’s office, but she wasn’t there. Maybe she wasn’t in yet. Normally she was always early. I walked up to my secretary and said hello. She gave me my messages and went to answer the phone.
I walked into my office and started up my computer. Once I sat down, I looked at my messages. One was from a law office asking about how well Alexa was at her job. Why would another law firm call about Alexa?
