Alexa’s pov
I got a reply back on an amazing job. I decided to take it. I called a moving company to pack everything up and ship it to me. I packed what I needed and put it in my car.
I was getting as far away from Jacob as I could. He was just too much of a distraction. I booked a hotel so I could stay there until I was able to find a place. I technically didn’t have the job yet, but I knew it was only a matter of time.
It was a good thing I was taking online law classes, so I didn’t need to move any of them around. I was nervous. I just knew this was the right thing to do. The thought of leaving the law office I loved so much hurt.
I always thought once I became a lawyer, I would become partner there one day. Sadly, that all changed the moment Jacob took over for his fat
