I wasn’t going to call Alexa. I already knew she was taking the job. I just needed to hear her voice. I know we needed to talk but I just couldn’t see her right now. I did forgive her.
Yes, I was still hurt. I was glad she was coming home. She belonged here. If only she had talked to me, we could have made “us” work. She could have worked for this company and we could have been together.
I think that’s what hurts the most. Was I such a bad guy that she had to leave the state just to avoid me? Even though she’s coming back I don’t think we could ever be together. I just don’t see getting past this.
