Chapter 1 : who is she?
On the 17th of June, in a small village in London, everything was normal. Birds were chirping, the sky was clear, and villagers were enjoying the warm weather. Suddenly, a loud noise came from room no 4. Some nurses got shocked and ran to see what had happened. The reason was the patient in room no 4.— a girl, around her early 20s. She was a young, beautiful lady with Japanese features, but she had been in a coma for 2 years. Nobody knew who she was or where she came from. But the nurses felt like she was not an ordinary girl from her looks. They ran into the room and saw the girl on the floor . The heart machines were beeping fast. The nurses ran toward the girl. One nurse asked in a hurried and concerned voice, “Are you okay?” The Japanese girl looked up in a panic. “W-Wh-who are you all?” she asked, stuttering. Without letting the nurse say anything, the girl spoke again, “Wait—who… who am I? Why can’t I remember anything?” She was panicking, trying to remember. Nothing came to her head. One nurse held her, patting her back. “It’s okay. Nothing to worry about. You’re safe,” the nurse said softly, whispering in her ear and calming her down, while the other nurses stood there, looking at them. After an hour, the girl seemed to calm down and was sitting on the bed when knock knock—the door opened, and she saw the same nurse who had calmed her earlier. “Hey there,” the nurse smiled, happily sitting in a chair beside the bed. “I came to meet you.” The girl smiled and said, “Thank you for earlier.” The nurse said, “No problem.” The nurse asked, “I am also a japanese nurse here, so I thought we could be friends....my name is naomi” The girl in the bed nodded. “Can I call you Miya?” the nurse asked. “Miya,” the girl in bed repeated, “S-sure,” she said with a shy smile. “So Miya, can you remember anything? I mean… you came here two years back in a critical condition. I was also there beside you,” naomi said, smiling.. “No… Not at all,” Miya said, thinking hard. Naomi smiled and said, “It’s fine. You’re still recovering from the coma. It's not easy at all… I know you will remember eventually.” “Naomi, can you tell me where I am? And you said I was in critical condition, right? So… can you tell me what had happened?” she said, hopefully looking at Naomi. Naomi: “Umm… You are in London. It’s a village here where I am from. And I think you had an accident or… something. I can’t tell you the particulars though.” (softly) Naomi: “I… have work, it’s night now. I think I have to… go—go. Good night,” she said, stuttering. Miya: “Oh… okay, good night,” she said, smiling, though she was confused about the sudden change in Naomi’s behavior. --- When Naomi left, Miya was still confused about everything. She sat up, trying to remember, but no matter how much she tried, she couldn’t recall anything. She sighed as she lay back down, covering herself with the blanket, and soon, she fell asleep. --- At midnight, around 1:00 a.m., she woke up hearing someone playing a flute. It was a familiar tune. She looked in front of her—someone was standing right in front of her, with a flute in his hand. His face wasn’t clearly visible in the dark, but she felt like she knew that person. Miya: “W-Who are you? HELP!!” (she yelled) The boy covered his ears. He spoke in a husky voice, with a cold tone, “You are still as noisy as always.” Miya froze in shock, thinking he was someone she knew. Miya: “D-Do you know me?” (whispered) “How… how did you get past the room? Even I don’t know myself. The window is closed… and the door too…” (confused) The boy looked at her and smiled softly. “I know you.” He said pausing for a while before uttering the word "yui" Miya frozen recognising the name.. Miya : w..wait...y..you- (Before she could complete her words her eyes started closing itself)
