The lights flashed and the alarm chirped. Squinting, I saw the alarm telling us that the emergency pod had been deployed. There were no enemies around and the shields were stayed. We hadn’t been boarded, and anyone foolish enough to attempt to come on my vessel would die. This had to be a glitch of some kind due to the instability of the system after the last attack.
I cleared my throat. “Porro and Tylo go check out the cargo area. It says the escape pod has been deployed. Angon go assure Amber that everything is alright.”
