VENNY POV: I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately and I figured today would be the day I come out to my family. I have to stop being afraid, and just rip the bandaid off once and for all. I planned a bowling trip with my mom and dad, and my older sister who lives on the outskirts of town. But just at the thought of it, my stomach drops. I remember as a kid dad used to say gay jokes, and back then I used to think it was funny. Oh, how the tables have turned. Is my dad homophobic?
