Olivia pushed open the apartment door and leaned down to massage her ankle. She had just returned from the forensic center, and it had been an incredibly frustrating trip.
"Miss Tyler?"
The voice behind her made her pause. Turning around, she was met with a friendly, familiar face.
"Mia?" Olivia blinked in surprise.
The cheerful and slightly round Mia grinned even wider. "Just got off work?"
Olivia returned the smile. She genuinely liked Mia. Without her help, Olivia might still be struggling to make ends meet.
"It's pretty late today," Mia said with concern etched on her face. "Did something happen?"
Olivia hesitated for a moment. Should she even mention it? But Mia's genuine expression made her set her reservations aside. "Mia, do you know much about forensic analysis?"
