Chapter Thirty-Four
It took four days to convince her family. Nothing she said made a difference. It wasn’t until Nicholas had a talk to them that they agreed it might be best. They’d sent her from the room, Ariana warning her not to listen in. She hadn’t been able to resist. Not with how noisy and argumentative they’d been. What had they expected?
So she’d sat in her room and given up on trying not to listen as Nicholas told her family she needed to learn how to look after herself. That there were others who’d try and use her for their own purposes. Ariana had been the hardest to convince. Finally agreeing, but saying she needed another week with Gina. When they called Gina in, she’d managed to get that week back to a day, with Nicholas’ help.
