Chapter Six
Seth finished arranging Douglas in the back and pushed the rear door closed. “Nope. We’ve got to ditch the vehicle too.”
“What? You never said anything about that.” Connor grabbed Seth by the shoulder and forced him to turn and face him. “We’re not ditching my car. I haven’t even had it for a month. It was my eighteenth birthday present.”
Seth shrugged Connor’s hand off him. “Get whatever you want out of it. We’ll be having a change in transport. Hurry up. We need to deal with this before daylight arrives.”
“Lilly-”
“Your vehicle has to go. The police will be watching for it.” Seth turned away and headed inside.
Gina held out her hand when Connor was about to follow Seth. “Help me up? I don’t think I could move even if there was a red bellied black snake headed for me.”
