Chapter Eight The kitchen timer went off, startling her. She blinked as she looked around the room. She had a bad feeling she’d fallen asleep. With a yawn and a stretch, she first went to wake Seth. The shadows under his eyes seemed darker. She lightly touched his shoulder and his eyes popped open. Confusion filled his eyes for a second and then he smiled. “Hey.” “It’s seven.” Seth sat up. “Wake the other two and tell them to meet me in the lounge room. Time for needles.” Gina groaned. She hated needles. “Okay.” It took her a couple of minutes to wake Connor and Ashley. Connor was the hardest, rolling over and ignoring her no matter how hard she shook his shoulder.
