KYLE’S POV I stood outside Ella’s door, my hand hovering just above the handle. The sound of her movements inside made me hesitate. She had been in my house for days now, and though she was mostly healed, the wounds she had left on my trust couldn’t heal. My wolf stirred uneasily. We didn’t trust her yet. Finally, I pushed the door open. The sound drew attention, and she turned. As soon as she saw it was me, her face lit up with a smile that caught me off guard. “Kyle,” she said softly.
