New York Wolf Gala, live-streamed to a billion viewers worldwide.

My Alpha husband Adrian shoves a silver bullet into my heart and sneers:"You useless trash, you can't even earn a mark, get the hell out of my sight."

Then my system kicks in:【Jilted Wife to Queen unlocked. Mission:publicly humiliate your Alpha. Reward:he'll be on his knees licking your boots.】

I crush that bullet with my bare fist, blood spraying, and I stand the f**k up.

I tear off the contract pendant and fling it in his face:"Adrian, three years ago in Edinburgh slums, you were on your knees in the rain begging me to sign–want me to play that recording for the whole damn world?"

The crowd goes ballistic.

Divorce? Granted.

Money? You're paying triple.

Your mark? Bite me.

He'll be crawling back, begging for my mark and I'll stroll into the moonlight arm-in-arm with his worst enemy, while he can't even touch a strand of my hair.

Chapter 1
New York Wolf Gala. The crystal-domed ballroom blazed with light so bright it stung. Live-stream cameras were locked on the center dais, and billions of comments flooded the screen–each word a needle pricking my retinas. I stood at the edge of the platform in the lowest grade of Omega gown–gray, coarse fabric that chafed my collarbones red. Beneath my feet, pristine white marble gleamed like a mirror. Above my head, a chandelier worth millions. This whole setup was a carefully staged execution, and I was the sacrifice nailed to the bullseye. Adrian stood across from me. New York's youngest Alpha leader, his navy suit razor-sharp, silver wolf-head cufflinks glinting–the seal of the Walker family's untouchable glory. His face was carved from ice, his deep-blue eyes empty of anything but frost. He raised his left hand. In his palm lay a silver bullet, etched with fine runes that caught the chandelier light and winked like a mocking eye. The hall went dead silent. You could hear a pin drop. Camera lenses zoomed in on me, then on that bullet. Adrian spoke, his voice booming through every speaker, spilling out to the wolf crowd gathered outside: "Lia Carter, contract Omega. Unmarked for three years. Incompetent, worthless, unworthy of remaining in the New York Wolf Clan. By our laws, you are hereby expelled." The comments exploded. A tidal wave of venom:"Slum rat finally gets the boot.""Good riddance.""About time Adrian dumped her.""Three years and she can't even earn a mark–she's not even fit to be called Omega." The words hit me like boiling oil. I thought back to three years ago–Edinburgh, rain, him on his knees. My lips parted, but no sound came. It wouldn't have mattered anyway. He drove the silver bullet into my left chest–straight into my heart. The pain detonated like a white-hot poker shoved through my ribs. Silver venom corroded my heart muscle, and I could feel each beat slow down. Blood soaked through the gray gown, pooling dark and wet on the marble floor. My knees hit the ground, but I didn't feel that–my chest was too busy screaming. "Useless trash. You're not even fit to tie my shoes." Adrian turned to the cameras and declared the contract void–me, the Walkers, done. The front row applauded. Isabella sat there, blonde hair cascading, raising her champagne flute in a sweet, mocking toast. I lay on the floor, vision blurring. The silver venom slithered through my veins like a nest of snakes. My heart stuttered. Then–a cold, mechanical voice detonated in my skull. Ding! System activated. Congratulations!"Jilted Wife to Queen"plan unlocked. Mission:Publicly humiliate your Alpha. Reward:He'll be on his knees licking your boots. Accept? I took three seconds. Then I shoved my right hand into the wound in my chest, fingers digging through torn flesh to grip that silver bullet lodged in my heart muscle. The barbs bit into my palm, ripping skin–pain so bright my vision whited out. But I held on. And I squeezed. The bullet shattered in my palm. Shards clinked and scattered across the marble floor, the sound impossibly loud in that breathless ballroom. Every camera swung to my bloody hand. I stood up. The wound still wept, gray gown now crimson, but my spine straightened vertebrae by vertebrae–like someone had shoved an iron rod down my back. A system panel flashed:Silver Moon bloodline preliminary awakening. Physical capacity+200%. Regeneration initiated. My wound began to close–visible, steady. I ripped the contract pendant off my neck–solid gold, engraved with the Walker wolf crest–and hurled it at Adrian's face. It hit him square on the cheekbone and clattered to the floor. He spun around, pupils blown wide. "Adrian Walker. Three years ago, in the Edinburgh slums, heavy snow–you knelt in a puddle and begged me to sign. Your medical team behind you, your thirty thousand pounds, your promise to set me free after three years. You want me to play that tape for the whole damn world right now?" I pointed at the giant live screen overhead. The system had pulled the memory from my mind–three-year-old surveillance footage of Adrian on one knee in the mud, rain soaking his expensive suit, a parchment contract extended toward me. That tape had been a splinter lodged in my brain for years. Now I was going to pull it out and stab him with it. Adrian's face went ashen. His lips twitched. Alpha pheromones flared–thick pine, suffocating–crashing down on the lower wolves until they trembled. The system threw up a Silver Moon shield–a pale silver film over my nerves. I didn't budge. I even stepped forward. "Divorce? Granted. Money? You'll pay. Clause Seven–public humiliation causing life-threatening injury voids the contract and triggers tenfold damages. Fifteen million pounds. Not a penny less." I bent down, scooped up the fallen pendant, and tossed it into a champagne tower. Glass shattered, gold liquid splashed–some of it hit his trousers. "Your mark? Disgusting. I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole." I pivoted and strode down the dais in my heels, each step leaving a bloody footprint–a red trail from the platform to the exit. The crowd parted like the Red Sea. At the door, I stopped, turned my head, and said–soft, but loud enough for every mic to catch: "Adrian, I'm going to take back every single thing you owe me. Starting with those fifteen million." I pushed through the doors and walked into New York's December wind. System notification:Bloodline activation 12%. I wrapped my blood-soaked gown tighter and kept walking up Fifth Avenue. Behind me, the golden glow of that crystal dome looked like a palace that had never belonged to me. I squeezed my palm–the wound stung. Good. It kept me sharp. This was only the beginning.
