The next day they were up early in the Long Island house. Isabella was explaining her plan to Jason and Mac over coffee.
“Do you think that’s going to work?” asked McKenzie.
“I’ve known Fane for a long time. I understand how he operates, how he thinks. He wouldn’t let that much of a loose end hang,” she answered.
“We will need weapons right?” There was a hopeful tone in Mac’s voice.
“I’m definitely not going to try this unarmed, but if things go how I’ve laid them out, we shouldn’t need to use them.”
“So you want me to drive? Are you sure it wouldn’t be better if I was backing you up?” said Jason.
“Mac’s been covering my back right along and he’s done right by me so far, I say if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. Are we set to go?”
