"You can not hide in here forever, Kaelyn. " Tekhan said with his arms folded in the doorway of her makeshift room.
" Look at me. No one needs to see... This." She gestured to all of her.
"There is nothing wrong with you, princess. " He stated.
Kaelyn was sat on the cold floor surrounded in dead skin and debris. There was a pungent smell of rotting flesh that filled her room. Blood had long pooled and stained the rotting wood. Her long black hair was a disheveled mess. Her cheeks were stained red from the blood when the change in her eyes occured.
Her figure had changed drastically, she used to be thin and frail now she was curved and she was graced with the strength of an immortal.
Her tattoo like markings laid bare on her skin, bold and glistening crimson in some places. No vampire had ever bared these markings... It was very unusual but intriguing.
" I can't control my thirst yet... I may hurt someone. " She whispers her voice weak from the lack of blood. Apparently the donor blood isn't good enough for her. She spat the blood out and screeched about how tainted it was.
She looked up at Tekhan, her eyes were glazed over as if nobody was home.
Tekhan sighed heavily.
" Do you want revenge?" He asked.
She stared at him as if he just asked the most ridiculous question ever asked.
" Of course I do. Don't be absurd!" She snapped.
" Now, now. Calm down Kae. Then why aren't you doing anything to achieve the task that you have created for yourself?" He questionably said.
" I haven't completed my change." She looked away from Tekhan.
" What do you need to complete it?" He asked.
" I don't know. Aunt... Melissa, never told me. She knew of the curse but must of thought... I would never be a vampire again..."
Part of me misses her and hopes she is alive... Though non of the feelings were real. She wasn't my real aunt. She was my mother's best friend...
My mother...
"She is dead..." Kaelyn whispered to herself.
" Who is?" Tekhan asked.
" MY MOTHER!" she screeched shattering the blackened window allowing the sunlight to flood through the room. The memory flooding back with raw emotion as powerful as the day it happened.
The sun started burning her skin, though she couldn't feel it. She was reliving the horror.
Her mother's limp body next to the tree...
Her unseeing eyes staring into the darkness.
Her neck gaping open...
No...
The hollow flashed through her mind...
Monsters...
Her father fighting it.
The claws of the creature slashing at him...
She threw up blood every where. She clawed at her face begging the images to go. Tekhan took her wrist and held them away from her face just before she clawed her eyes out.
She was shaken with sweat, tears streamed down her face, flowing like a river.
" Come." He commanded, "I will get a couple of demoness' to clean you up." He held his hand out. She hesitated but took it. He heaved her up with as much effort as picking up a feather.
She mumbled her thanks as he guided her through the narrow hallways. She felt like a child being led by her father.
Her feet made small slapping sounds against the cool cobble stone. The place had been abandoned for centuries.
"There was a saying that the dead king's spirit wonders round the halls waiting for his lost love. " Tekhan began. " People have heard the soft crying of a baby in one of the rooms on the west wing." He visibly shuddered.
Well that just made west wing a major nope section.
" How can his mate be... Lost?" Kaelyn asked curiously looking around wearily, hoping not to come across this king's spirit.
" She has not yet passed, if I remember rightly. " His brows furrowed.
"What?" She asked, perplexed by his look.
" Nothing, I was just wondering why she and the rest of the staff and townspeople left... " He trailed off deep in thought.
Not more then ten seconds later he shrugged off any thought of the event and carried on walking in silence.
Okay k. Get yourself together. Two things need to happen. One, gather up some strength. Two,complete my transformation and get my revenge... Okay that's three but who is counting?
They went through a corridor and down a winding staircase used for servants.
They went underground and continued through more corridors. Luckily someone modernised it to have electricity so they weren't in total darkness or candle light.
She stopped just shy of the double doors that stood in front of her.
Tekhan felt her uneasiness.
"It's fine." He soothed.
He opened the door to reveal a huge cave-like opening to reveal what looked to be a Roman bath. There was steam coming up from the water looking inviting. There were four columns at each corner of the bath as if to hold the cave up. There were ancient Asian deity statues on either side of of the room.
The floor was covered in moss, her eyes were so sharp she could see the dew drops on the petal of a purple freesia flower at the back of the cave. All over the cave covering the ground there were loads of different colours of freesia flowers. White, blues, yellows and pinks created a burst of colour.
There were two woman stood in front of the pool with nothing on.
N-n-naked! Oh god, I feel like I am intruding...
The demoness on the right had jet black hair and bright golden eyes. She had light blue skin with darker blue n*****s. Her horns were smaller then the woman's on the left.
The woman on the left was taller by a few feet. Her skin was more of a violet colour, the frame of her body was slightly larger and more muscular than that of the other demoness, built to kill. No doubt she could of killed Kaelyn when she was a weak fragile human...
She hated the thought of her being so weak and so fragile.
Her death had set her free.
Kaelyn continued to study the demoness taking in the features of her face. She had a button nose and piercing grey eyes. Her silver hair was braided from the left travelling down and sweeping to the right, finishing just below her breast.
" Aida and Eris, I would like you to meet Kaelyn." Tekhan introduced her to them.
The blue demon... Aida, smiled at her sweetly whilst Eris just nodded in acknowledgement.
" It is wonderful to meet you, finally. " Eris began, " we have heard some interesting things about you. "
Kaelyn raised her eyebrows. " Is that so...? " She looked at Tekhan, who just shrugged his shoulders.
" Oh yes! Kaeyln the soul eater! " she exclaimed.
What? Soul eater...
" It is not soul eater you i***t!" Eris snapped. " It's soul reaper. Jeez, if you aren't going to say something right, don't say anything at all. " Eris rolled her eyes at Aida.
" Okay , okay! Hell, when did you become Satan." Aida scowled.
" Honey didn't you know?"
" Know what?" Aida replied.
" Satan is my b***h!" Eris smirked.
" No fair! I thought I was your b***h!" Aida exclaimed, pouting at Eris.
" In the bedroom my love, you are. "
Are they... surely not.
Aida giggled clearly happy with that reply. Eris slapped Aida's buttocks.
Yep... they are.
Tekhan cleared his throat clearly uncomfortable to be in their presence at that moment.
The two fell silent.
" Get her cleaned up, and behave. " He emphasised the word 'behave'.
With that Tekhan left Kaelyn with the love muffins.
" Come. We will get you cleaned up in no time. " Aida held out her hand for Kaelyn.
" Honestly I think I can handle this on my own. " Kaelyn said hands raised in the air.
" Don't be ridiculous. We have orders and we are going to go through with them. You have nothing to be afraid of. We don't bite. "
Why do I get the feeling that there was a silent 'much' hanging in the air.
She reluctantly took the out stretched hand, and she was stripped naked in an instant. Kaelyn had never seen her womanly body and she stared down at it now.
The markings snaked around half of her body, she had big bouncy breasts, her arse was round with perfect curvature. Her stomach was flat and toned whilst her hips flared giving her an hour glass figure. She was also covered in blood...
She glanced at the two woman that stood next to her who were staring at her body with curiosity.
"Interesting..." Aida said peering at the markings.
Eris took Kaelyn's hand, " Come." She said. " Lets get you cleaned up. "
Kaelyn nodded following the woman to the bath. Aida went down the steps that lead into the water first with Eris following and Kaelyn behind them both. Around the edge of the bath were different bath soaps, shampoo's and conditioners, scrubs, rose petals and essential oils.
Those look divine!
Kaelyn loved the baths her mother used to run for her.
The fragrance of the rose petals filled her senses and she began to relax in the pleasantly warm water.
She was turned around facing away from the two woman.
She heard movement through the water and then the touch of a hand on the midsection of her back. She shivered slightly at the light contact.
The woman washed her body until she was squeaky clean and no blood or residue was left behind.
"Now we have done our job, we have some unfinished business to take care of. " Aida announced as she hopped out of the bath. Eris nodded to Kaelyn and followed hot on Aida's heel.
Kaelyn sank down into the bath and grabbed the shampoo. She lathered the creamy liquid into her black hair until she was satisfied all of the muck and blood was gone. She dunked her hair into the bath water until it was all rinsed out leaving it silky to the touch.
She laid there gathering her thoughts. There are still some gaps in her memory, how she is supposed to fill them in is another question. Her mind was always drifting to Darius... that witch who sits comfortably in her kingdom. She must have wiped her fathers memory. There was the explanation that she looked completely different than her true self, she was a human after all. Was this the witches fault? Was she the reason for her being human?
Questions like that will remain to be unanswered until she could get her claws on that... b***h!
She yelled in frustration as she overthought about every detail that has happened in the last few years let alone her whole life. Her voice echoed through the cave stiring the bats that clung to the crystals that formed ragged.
She took a deep breath and sighed loudly. How is she supposed to complete this transformation...
Kaelyn closed her eyes. She felt herself become as light as a feather, as if all of the weight she had been carrying, like the guilt, had lifted up from her shoulders. She cracked open her eyelids to reveal that she was standing in the middle of the forest. There was a misty fog swirling along the floor, covering it like a thick blanket. There were no birds chirping, no wind.
Something's off.
Kaelyn wondered around the forest with no idea of her whereabouts.
She didn't stay long she was guided to a clearing where a woman was standing with her back to Kaelyn.
Where am I?
She felt eerily calm.
" you have become strong kalaeyna... Your mother would be proud of you." the woman turns with a smile on her face. Her eyes were the colour of molten gold, her hair brown like milk chocolate, which cascaded down her back ending at the base of her spine.
My mother? Did she know her?
Kaelyn studied the woman and noticed she was wearing a crown made of woven black roses and jewellery made of the finest gold that held the most beautiful gemstones. She was wearing a black dress.
"Who are you?" Kaelyn asked suspiciously.
The woman smiled even wider.
" I am Vienna... the goddess of death. "
Oh I so hope this is a dream. I couldn't be speaking to the goddess of death. After all the torment and this stupid phase I am in... I must be having vivid hallucinations!
Kaelyn couldn't contain her hysterical laughter.
This is a dream... it has to be. There is no way I could meet the goddess of death. Wait...
Am I dead!
Vienna's eyebrows rose up a little at my outburst. Kaelyn cleared her throat and removed her arms from her middle.
"This is a dream. You are a figment of my imagination. I will wake up in my bed and I will forget this place." Kaelyn didn't have much confidence in what she was saying.
"You don't remember me yet, and I await the time you do. Kalaeyna... heed this warning and be careful of who you trust. When the time comes I hope you will be ready to face what destiny has to throw at you."
There she goes with that name, its not mine but... it sounds so familiar. Also, it sounds like she knows how this game of chess ends.
She tried to answer the goddess but a wave of water swept her off her feet. Kaelyn struggled and kicked but it was useless. She looked for anything to cling onto and found nothing. An unseen force dragged her into the never ending watery depth.
She exploded out of the bath, a wall of water smashed open the golden doors and rocked the walls of the cave. Kaelyn led at the bottom of the now empty bath, gasping. She was bamboozled at what had just happened.
"Holy s**t-balls! Did you just do that?" Aida gaped at Kaelyn.
Aida was now wearing a silk robe with matching fluffy slippers she was flushed from the obvious fun she had with Eris. Her eyes were bright with amazement and wonder. She was leaning over the edge with her hands on her slightly bent knees.
Kaelyn looked up at Aida with a blank expression... could she let them think he had gone mad... again?
No. Definitely not.
" Yes... I haven't gotten used to my powers. I apologise for any disturbance I may have caused." Kaelyn held her breath for Aida's response.
Aida looked Kaelyn up and down and studied her for a moment, " Okay I believe you. I mean its not everyday you come back to life as a full fledged vampire. A pureblood princess for that matter. " she paused, " how are you dealing with that now anyway?" Aida asked with concern.
Like pure an utter shit...
Like I just got ran over a thousand times...
Fuckin' swell babe!
" I am doing okay, thank you for asking."
Aida nodded not really convinced.
" If you need anything sweetie, I am just down the hall from your chambers. Please knock before entering as well... you know... Eris..." she did two scissor signs together and that was enough for Kaelyn to gather what Aida was getting at.
" Okay, OKAY!" She waved her arms up at Aida, " I get it." Kaelyn chuckled.
" Now get dress missy, you need to go to the arena. Tekhan is waiting for you." Aida snapped her fingers and an outfit, along with a couple of towels, floated in the air. They hovered there in wait for Kaelyn. With that Aida turned and skipped out of the cave.
Now is not the time to ponder on what happened k .
She got up and made her way up the steps towards the floating clothes and bath towels. She dried herself and got dressed in a pair of cargo trousers and a back tank top. To top it off she put on the pair of combat boots and a holster belt around her thigh. She had to admit to herself she looked badass. She towel dried her hair as she had no idea where she could fine such things like a hairdryer. Although, it seems like they don't even know what technology was.
She was frustrated how she couldn't call her aunt or anyone in general. Who would she call anyway? She didn't have any friends outside of these castle walls. She only had to trace to Douglas and she had no idea where Hannah was or even if she were alive.
Her mind drifted to Darius, curious about what he was doing right now.
Does he even think of me? About what they had shared before in that room....
on his bed...
Kissing.
Touching.
She was craving him. Like she craved no other man on this earth. She had a hot burning desire to make him hers. She couldn't help but go bright red from the realisation that she had an orgasm thanks to him. Unfortunately it is not the same for vampires as it is for humans. She may have had an orgasm in human form, it doesn't mean that it will be the same in her natural state.
Kaelyn shook her head and dispelled those thoughts. She needed to focus, not get side tracked.
She focused her energy to trace. She couldn't do it.
She tried a couple more times until she walked out with a sigh of defeat. She arrived at the Arena to see Tekhan barking orders at the demons training in hand to hand combat. He stood shirtless, proud and tall with his hands on his narrow hips. He looked determined to whip the demons into shape. His comrades were getting stronger , she could tell by the muscle mass they have gained since she had freed them.
All those days locked away in self pity... she should have been out there and joined them sooner. Unfortunately the transformation was gruelling, She literally felt like a snake shedding its skin.
" Welcome to the Arena, Kaelyn. " Tekhan said without taking his eyes off of the warriors.
And so my training begins.
Tick tock ...
Tick tock...
