The only sounds I could hear were the crunching leaves beneath my feet and my labored breathing as I ran on the recreational path that wound up toward the top of Swan mountain.  I woke up before everyone else this morning and decided to get out and run, clear my head and try to think about so many of the strange things I have encountered since I arrived here at Silverthorne Academy. Last night,  we looked through the twins' spell book and made our vows to enact our evil plans-only after we got a good night's sleep-and then we crashed hard.  The five of us fell asleep crammed into the two beds we had pushed together earlier.
