Not having anything to say to that, I mumble, " It's fine."
"Why did you leave?" He asks, not beating around the bush. His voice is calm, but I can feel the anger radiating off him.
"I - " he doesn't let me complete.
"Not only did you leave, but you cut ties with even Jasmine. Do you even know how she is coping with that?" I was about to interrupt, but he stopped me, raising his hand.
"No, of course you don't because you don't f*****g care. You are selfish. You didn't even try to contact any of us." He accuses me.
Tears fill my eyes, but I refuse to show any weakness to this man. He doesn't have the right to accuse me like this. I didn't come here so that he could vent. I glare at him, but he brazenly continues.
"You abandoned all of us, not just me."
I didn't abandon anyone.
