The Beginning

2112, January 27th, Chances

Acheron watched serenity as she fell to the ground in pain he stood up without realizing it. Soon she didn’t scream anymore and Alex told her to get up and come eat. She seemed to get up weakly and follow after him and sit down in front of her tray of food. Michael had reached up and yanked Acheron back down into his chair. “dude what’s wrong?” Michael asked Acheron and Acheron finally turned to look back at Michael. “nothing, I just don’t see how they can treat someone like that.” Acheron stated as he looked back at where Serenity was now beginning to eat but was keeping her head down the whole time. “yeah I don’t know what to think man. I mean you saw what she did to those guys earlier.” He stated “yeah but she didn’t really have much of a choice or did you miss that part?” he said looking at Michael. Michael threw his hands up in surrender. “yeah I guess you are right in that matter, but it’s still scary to see someone with capabilities like that.” Michael stated as he began to eat. “what are you boys talking about” a peppy female voice chimed as Clarissa sat down in front of Acheron and Michael skinny, athletic, clear complexion, platinum blonde hair, and green eyes. Captain of the cheerleading team, volleyball team, and prom queen when she was in high school and no is the captain of their college cheerleading team.

“We're not really talking about much of anything.” Michael chimed up and Acheron just nodded his head in agreement as he turned his head to look at the Serenity again. Clarissa followed Acherons gaze and rolled her eyes. “Can you believe we have to look at that disgusting monster while eating practically ruining my appetite especially since the stench of blood just radiates off of her.” She said raising her voice a bit for the whole lunch room to hear and scoffed and laughed. Acherons eyes widened, “Clarissa don’t say that.” Michael said to her. “why not? It’s the truth isn’t it? She’s a freak and a monster.” She stated. “Shut. Up.” Acherons low voice vibrated out the words as he clenched his fist that was sitting on the table staring at her intently. Clarissa stammered a bit before rolling her eyes and playing with her hair. “oh come on Acheron… you know I was just joking.. I would never be mean to someone.” She started as she reached across the table to rub his forearm with her arm giving him a flirtatious smile. Asher on brushed her hand off of him politely as he looked back at Serenity who hadn’t seemed to look up or have maybe even heard what was being said about her. “come on man they want is to have class for another hour and a half before they let us retire for the night.” Michael said before beginning to stand up. “uh yeah, yeah lets go.” Acheron responded back stood up with Michael and they dumped their trays and they walked to the door. Acheron took one more look at Serenity before exciting the room heading back to the classroom with his class mates.

“… she’s a freak and a monster.” She heard the female state those words rang in her ears as she tried her best to ignore and eat when a deep voice told the woman to shut up. Serenity lifted her head slightly in the direction of the voice seeing the man who’s eyes she had locked with early. She shook her head and looked back down at her tray to continue eating her food. Soon all those people left and the third guy who normal escorts her everywhere and he stood across the lunch table in front of her. “you remember tonight is a new moon right?” he asked looking at her. “yes I do.. I’m almost done and then we can prepare.” She responded back. “Good hurry up and finish your good and we will go.” She finished her food and stood up as one body guard on each side and the third in front.

They began walking out of the cafeteria and turned the hallway as they used a key card to get access to another hallway. They walked down before scanning again to go through the door and began to descend the, long darkly lit, eerie, metal staircase farther and farther down. Soon they reached the bottom and then used the card to enter the hallway going all the way to the end and entering a dual room. They took her into the room with the bed and she laid down on the bed as the chained her hands to chained wall extensions and her feet also. “The Sun is just about to set.” One of the doctors spoke and she moved her head closing her eyes waiting for it to begin.
