Chapter 4- Salavation

1065 Words
I was terrified at the thought that in that moment, I realized I was completely lost. I sat down on the ground, my eyes fixed on my dying son, the child who had been chosen to live while the others were here, fighting for their lives. Then, I wept; I didn't know I could cry so hard until I did. I never imagined I could feel so broken, but the pain was overwhelming. The door swung open, and I instinctively knew who had entered before I even turned around to see who it truly was. Stefan. "You are to be relocated to the west coast of the pack, where you will be assigned to work and clean the cells, never to be near the pack again," he said, as I knelt there. Of course, I was aware of the West Coast; it was a condemned area within the pack, where the dungeons were located. The people who resided there lived in the dungeons and were responsible for cleaning them up—blood, dirt, and filth. The pack rarely had volunteers for such grim tasks, so it fell to the duties of murderers, rapists, and those condemned by the pack. I remained kneeling, gazing at my baby, with no intention of moving. I understood that he would do everything in his power to keep me away from them; this might be the last time I would ever come this close. "You better move before I make you!" Stefan snapped, and I reluctantly got to my feet and turned to face him. He looked at me with disgust. I had never cared about the looks of disdain directed at me or the way I was treated by the pack members. If there was one thing that pack wolves despised more than anything else, it was rogues, and the rumor of my collusion with one had destroyed any kindness or patience they had once shown me. I walked out of the room, not wanting any harm to come to my baby, or perhaps I was just scared. I heard the whispers in the hallways, the looks of disgust from the nurses and some pack members as they talked, mocked me, and shook their heads in disapproval. Stefan walked behind me, his tall figures, and strong arms, i knew i had no chance to escape and Thoe knew that, i was no match for his Beta dog, we walked out of the hospital, if i thought , ten years ago was bad in this pack, then these was worse, i still remember when parent refused their kids not to talk to me, i was banned from attending school, my parent threw me out, i was the outcast of the pack, and now it was worst, at that time Thoe’s father, was a patient man, he was asked to sentence me , but he saw no faults, i did, as far as they was no evidence i was innocent Thoe at that time was away for his alpha studies. “Escort her back to the base, and make sure you chain her with a retainer, she’s not allowed to shift, or escape, Alpha orders ”Stepfan said as he handed me over to two men, who were pack warriors, they nodded as we set out to the west coast of the pack. I walked silently with no will to live, I didn't care about the stares the warriors threw at me, , I'm sure they were satisfied seeing the Alpha w***e get what she deserves. Then it happened, growling , as soon as we stepped into the woods, there was a loud howl that echoed through the night, i knew that howl, the men were frozen, so did I. It was an Alpha’s Howl, there was an attack “The pack is being attacked, we need to go back”one of the men said, his eyes filled with tears, and fear. “We can't, we need to get this b***h to the dungeon. We were five minutes away from there if she escaped the Alpha will have us by our throats”the other responded. “I don't care, my pregnant mate is all alone, i will never forgive myself if something happens to her the mated man responded."Without other words he turned back, running to the growls , and howls coming from the pack village, leaving me with the older guard, before we could make another move, a large wolf appeared, behind the man before he could respond, to the appearance of the white wolf he was thrown to the tree and lost consciousness. I stood there as I watched the wolf transform into the image of a man; he was naked, yet he was not young, appearing to be in his early fifties. He looked at me with wide eyes, and then, without uttering a single word, he walked towards me and embraced me tightly. I stood motionless, lacking the will to fight, completely unaware of what was happening around me. "You're alive, don't worry, I'm here, I'm here," he said with a voice that sounded bronzed. As he spoke, I found myself unable to comprehend what he was saying or implying, so I remained silent. "Who are you?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. "I'm your father," he replied. "As soon as I heard what happened, I knew I had to come for you. Everything will be explained, but first, we need to leave. Before reinforcements arrive, we can only hold Theo’s wolf for an hour; after that, our element of surprise will be lost," he said while looking around cautiously. I stood there, shocked, as I gazed at the man who claimed to be my father. I was frozen in place; I had never seen my father before. My mother had told me he had died, and she never spoke well about him. "Please, I don’t care about anything else, just get my kids, I beg you, Theo has them," I pleaded, not wanting to reason with his answer. What was important was that he did as I instructed. "Don’t worry, I will…" he began, but I didn’t hear the rest of his words as I started to feel dizzy. The combination of exhaustion and shock must have really gotten to me. Before I could utter another word, I collapsed, right into his arms.
