Hazel's POV
Few months later.
I searched frantically in I and Momo’s room. Where could I have dropped it? Momo's talk wasn't helping in any way.
“ Did you see how Tracey glared at you yesterday?” Momo hugged herself as she shivered. “ Ever since she found out what happened between you and CEO Ethan, she's been on your neck. I can only imagine how you feel,” she sympathized.
After Tracey and CEO Ethan's misunderstanding, she left in rage only to come back and find out what had happened. I've been working and walking around on eggshells, she wouldn't let me out of her sight.
“ Have you seen it?” I asked her.
“ Seen what? What are you looking for?” She inquired. “ You know, you have to be specific if you want me to help you,” she said. I was yet to tell her the truth.
“ My pregnancy strip,” I said to her in a low voice embarrassed to my bones. I only found out that I was pregnant two weeks ago.
“ Your what?!” She exclaimed.
“ Quiet down, Momo,” I hushed her. At this rate, everyone would know.
“ Are you seriously pregnant? God, tell me that it's negative,” she pleaded with me to tell her the lie we both wanted to hear.
“ I only found out two weeks ago that I was pregnant. Momo, I'm confused, I don't know what to do. CEO Ethan is going to kill me if he gets to know,” I began to cry.
“ Calm down, Hazel we're gonna think of a plan,” she comforted, sitting me down.
“ I need this job desperately and you know it,” I continued to cry.
“ I know you do,” she sighed. “ So I'm honestly both surprised and confused as to what we should do. I mean, I thought you took the drugs that Butler Brown gave you,” she said frustrated.
“ I did. I swear, I did. I don't know what happened,” I cried.
“ There's no way CEO Ethan would let you keep that child especially when Tracey is in his life. I know it sounds weird but I don't know if I should suggest that you get rid of it before he finds out,” her words shocked me.
“ Momo... I never thought you would say that,” I got up to my feet and moved back. “ I can't kill my child, I mean, what did it do to deserve getting killed?”
“ I know it's wrong but I'm just here trying to throw ideas around, don't blame me. And besides, do you think Tracey would let you carry CEO Ethan's child? I mean, she lives with him now,” she reminded me of the harsh reality. “ She's going to make sure you lose that child one way or another,” she guaranteed.
“ So what do we do?” I questioned, just then a knock came on our door. I quickly dried my eyes with a handkerchief as Momo went to get the door.
“ Yes?” Momo opened the door slightly to answer the visitor.
“ CEO Ethan sent me over to pass a message to Hazel. He wants her in his study now and just as an extra tip to get you prepared, she's in big trouble, don't know why or what but she's in trouble,” the maid who had come to deliver the message laughed before leaving. Momo banged the door.
“ I think, he has found out.”

I took a deep breath before knocking on his study door, I couldn't escape facing him. He was my boss after all. The argument that I was hearing from outside where I stood died down.
“ Come in,” CEO Ethan’s cold voice resounded giving me chills. I pushed open the door slowly, letting myself in, I shut the door behind me. I bowed my head.
“ You slut!” Tracey screamed at me as she charges towards me. Luckily, Butler Brown was present to stop her from inflicting any damage on me.
“ I don't need to explain why I called you here,” he said in a calm but obviously annoyed voice.
“ Did you think I would stop monitoring you after you forced yourself on my boyfriend?!” Tracey yelled. “ I started taking notes of how rapidly you were changing, from easily getting tired to easily getting irritated and yes, I looked through your things,” she admitted. She was the one who took my pregnancy strip.
“ I really didn't force myself on him,” I defended in tears clenching on to the edges of my dress.
“ The audacity you have to lie right in my face!” She wouldn't stop shouting. “ I can't believe you got her pregnant, Ethan!” She banged her hand against his desk. “ I left for just a short while and this is what you do when I'm gone,” she pointed back at me.
“ Babe, calm down,” he attempted to cool her down but she wasn't having it. “ I would never sleep with someone like her, anyone at all really. I just woke up and found myself in that situation,” he tried to explain.
“ Really? Are you kidding me? We've been at it for years and I'm yet to get pregnant and you do it with her once and she gets pregnant,” she says accusatorily.
“ And that's because you take pills, babe. Why are we even talking about this?” He said in frustration. “ And I was drunk okay, I didn't know what I was doing,” he justified.
“ Fine but how do we even know if this isn't just a ploy to get you? I mean, if she could throw herself at you, she could throw herself at anyone. The child might as well not been yours,” she claimed.
“ I'm the one who took her first time babe, so if she's pregnant it has to be mine,” he said in a low voice correcting her. I knew he wasn't on my side but at least he defended me on this one.
“ I thought you said you were drunk but you weren't drunk enough to forget what it was like when you were f*cking her,” she knew how to twist people's words.
“ Tracey, why are you making matters worse?”
“ I don't know, maybe it's because I can't stand seeing a maid carrying your child. Maybe you should tell me,” she tapped her feet rapidly on the floor. “ It's either me or this child. Your pick,” she threatened.
“ Butler Brown, tell the driver to get the car ready,” he instructed.
“ Where to sir?”
“ To the hospital. I've already booked an appointment with the doctor for an abortion,” the words left his mouth so casually. A smirk creeped up the face of Tracey, Ethan would always lucky her but that wasn't my problem.
“ Sir, I don't wanna get an abortion,” I crumbled to my knees begging him in tears. I didn't want to kill my child. “ I'll leave here and never come back but please don't make me get an abortion,” I begged.
“ I don't remember asking for your opinion in this matter,” he was the definition of heartless. Was my plea never going to appeal to him?
“ I know you didn't but I can't risk it. I'm already in my fourth month,” it was actually risky to undergo a surgical abortion past the third month.
“ And how is that our business? You should have gotten rid of it when it was less mature,” Tracey shrugged unbothered by the consequences. Of course she wasn't, how did my safety bother her?
The study door flung open and two hefty bodyguards walked in. They grabbed me by the arm and raised me up.
“ Take her downstairs, we're going to get an abortion whether you want it or not,” he said and the guards robotically dragged me downstairs with no form of sympathy.
Getting to the main living room, I watched the other maids gather around to watch the scene. I had never been more embarrassed.
“ Ethan! What do you think you're doing?” An unfamiliar voice called out his name with authority. I had never heard anyone dare to do that. The figure approached me.
“ Let her go,” she ordered the guards who held me and they immediately dropped me on the floor. “ Are you alright?” She inquired, helping me up. I nodded my head.
Now that I took a look at her, she looked exactly like Ethan but the female version. Was she his…
“ Mom? What are you doing here?” He was surprised to see her. I had guessed correctly.
“ Well, I came visiting and I’m glad I came now. I arrived just in time,” she walked towards me, leaving me in the care of her personal assistant. “ What did you think you were trying to do?”
“ I think you heard it just fine, mom. I know very much that you're behind this, ” he went head on with his mom.
“ Maybe I am and maybe I'm not but what I do know is that I'm not letting you kill a Rufford just because of that gold digger you call a girlfriend,” his mom was a lot more aggressive than I thought and who would have known that she didn't like Tracey?
“ Excuse me?” Tracey felt insulted. “ Did you just call me a gold digger?” She was raging in anger.
“ Mom, how many times have I told you to stop calling her names?” He frowned.
“ I'm just calling her what she is. Is it wrong to call someone by his/her name?” His mom wasn't about to back down now.
“ We're not here to talk about Tracey, at least I know that's not why you came,” he folded his arms. “ She's getting rid of that child and it's settled,”
“ Not if I have a say in this,” she challenged. “ She's having the child whether or not you like it and if you still feel like your choice counts, I hope you'll be prepared to live your life happily when you're fired from your position as the CEO,” she threatened making everywhere fall silent.
“ You wouldn't dare,” Tracey ranted. “ Babe, she can't do that right? I mean, you are the CEO and you do have the largest shares don't you?”
“ As expected of a gold digger, you're only bothered about the money,” his mother scoffed.
“ Tracey, stay out of this,” he silenced her. His mom really did have the power to do so.
“ I'll see you in a week's time, you better get baby things because I'm having my grandchild. And just in case you're wondering, your dad is quite aware,” she intentionally provoked Ethan. He clenched his fist in anger but he wouldn't dare to talk back.
“ Let's get going,” she snapped her fingers and ordered her personal assistant to help assist me. “ We'll be back,” she gave a warm smile before leaving. Ethan was going to hate me more after this - I knew it in my heart that he would.
