Chapter 16

Maximus P.O.V.

“Babe, hurry up we have to leave soon.” “Where are we going?” Star asked for the 20th time. I walk out of our room with a smile on my face. After a few more minutes she comes out with her bag ready to go. I give my mother a kiss goodbye on the cheek. She walked out the door and gave Star a big hug before she got into the car. The whole way to the airport Star kept trying to get me to tell her where we are going. “I’m not going to crack. It’s a surprise. Trust me you will love it.” I said to her before kissing her. She turns and pouts facing the window.

‘You know she’s mad at us at the moment, but Dakota has fingered out where we are going. She won’t tell Star she thinks it a great idea to surprise her.’ -Chris

‘I’m glad that she’s on our side with this one' -M

‘So am I. I love her more already.’ -Chris

‘I feel you man. I feel you.’ -M

As we started to land I put a blindfold over Star’s eyes. “What are you doing?” she said confused. “It's so you can't peak. You’ll see soon.” I tell her in her ear then kiss her neck. Once we land I slowly help her out of the plan and into the waiting car. “Do I really have to keep this on?” she asked me. I can tell she is starting to get annoyed with this. I know she doesn't like surprises which is why she keeps hounding me to tell her what's going on. “We are almost there I promise. Just a little more then you can look.” She gives me a little smile at that.

Once we pulled up in front of the pack house I led her out of the can and up the stairs to go inside. Everyone was waiting inside quietly. I counted to three then pulled off the blindfold. When she saw where we were she started to cry. Then Sammy and Katy ran up to Star and wrapped her in a big hug. “This was a great surprise. Thank you.” Star said then give me a kiss.

Star P.O.V.

I can’t believe that Mat and Max managed to pull off this surprise. I love both of them so much and am glad to see how well they can work together. After Sammy and Katy’s hug I ran up to Mat and jumped into his arms. He spun me around as he gave me a bear hug. When he set me down he whipped away tears and I didn’t even know I was crying. Next thing I know Mat wraps his arms around my waist to help me calm down a little. I lean in to him and take in his addicting scent. After we said our hellos to every buddy we went to my old room and put our bags away.

“I’m so glad that you are here for the Alpha and Luna ceremony. Mat didn’t even tell me that you were coming.” Sammy said. “That's because you would have blurted it out to her and ruined the surprise.” Mat says as he walks up behind her. I just giggle at them because I know that he is telling the truth Sammy can’t keep anything from me. They never even tell Katy if they have something planned because they both would have told me. We don’t keep secrets from each other, we're like three really close sisters. I love these girls and know they love me just as much. We’re the three musketeers in our pack.

“I’m really glad that i’m here too. I didn’t want to miss it but didn’t know if we could even make it. Our guys are really thoughtful knowing that we wanted to be together for this.” I say with a smile. We walked down to the girls sun room to discuss some of the things for the party after the ceremony. My mother joined us after a few minutes and brought tea with her. We spent a few hours just being together like did before I became the Queen. I tell them about all the things I am doing and setting up to help our people and improve all of our packs. By the time we are done it’s time for dinner.

‘So did you like your surprise?’ -Max

'Yes I did. Thank you. You know how much I wanted to be here and made it happen.' -S

'I love to see you smile and be happy. I know how important this was to you. So Mat and I made a plan and here we are.' -Max

"Okay love birds no mide linking at the table l." My mom said with a smile. 'Haha dad if only she knew that has never stopped us. Hahah.' My father lets out a hardy laugh and my mother hit him on the arm. Both Mat and I smile after knowing I just got dad in trouble for laughing after our mother's statement. We started to eat and have a great time at dinner.

Later that night when Max and I went to my old room he went into the bathroom and started a bath. Ever since we have been together he runs a bath for us at night. Once we're in the tub he washes my hair then I lean back onto his chest relaxing. "How long are we staying for?" I wanted to know. He lenses down and gives me a kiss. When we pull apart to catch our breaths he tells me a week. I instantly turned around and straddled him and pestered my lips to his. He deepened the kiss by pulling me closer to him with my hips. He picked us up and stepped out of the tub and wrapped me in a soft fuzzy towel and set me on the counter next to the sink. Once he drained the trub he dyed us both off and carried me to bed. He put me under the blanket and crawled in behind me. Since we had mated we now sleep naked. I was pulled to his chest by his strong arms. I snuggle into his chest and fall asleep feeling safe and loved.
