The Pen

There was a pen named Penelope. She was a simple, elegant pen, with a sleek black barrel and a shiny silver clip. The owner of the pen is named Jack, a young man who wanted to be a writer when he was a child. Jack had always been interested in writing and had dreamed of becoming a successful author. He had always kept Penelope by his side, using her to jot down notes and ideas for his stories. They have been through plenty of up and down journeys to be a successful author. Everyday at the morning, Jack would prepare a paper and would write down an idea with the elegant pen. However, as Jack's writing career began to take off, he became busy with book signings, interviews and other engagements. He started to use his laptop more frequently to write and Penelope was pushed to the side. She was left in a drawer, forgotten and unused. Penelope felt a deep sense of sadness and abandonment. She had always been there for Jack, helping him to achieve his dreams, and now she was being cast aside like a piece of trash. She wondered if she'd ever be used again. Days turn into weeks and weeks into months. Penelope is in the drawer, collecting dust. She began to lose hope that she would ever be used again. But one day, Jack came back to the drawer and found her there. He picked the pen up and then started to clean it, refill it with new ink to make sure the pen is in good condition.
