Love! I've been told it happens when you least expect it and when it does happen, it's spares no one. They say it has the power to melt the toughest of hearts and as I stood there, staring at the most beautiful ring I have ever seen; my heart was breaking in ways I couldn't even possibly imagine. How can you not know that milk is like poison to my blood stream? I Yelled at him. For some strange reason, that was all I could think of. I know you're probably thinking that my Father's village people must have woken up from their coma, and as much as I would love to give them all the credit; this is all me. My forever guy, on bended knees holding out his hands; in a room packed with strangers who are all up in my business and all I have to do is say YES and they will all go away. And all I could think of was that fact that he didn't know my allergies. I choose that moment to be mad over something as trivial as that but how could I not, how do you marry someone who doesn't know the little things that become the big things that affects you? Then I realized that was just an excuse to not accept the proposal while in reality, I was afraid. Love. That’s a word I refuse to let myself use when it came to my feelings for you because I wasn’t allowed to love you. But, I did, and I can finally see that now. Your love for me was one-sided. Time and time again I chose not to see it or reciprocate it , but as long as you were happy, it was almost enough for me. Almost. But almost was and is never enough...
