Betrayed By Blood And Mate
My Wedding Day
Pov: Diana
They said every bride remembered her wedding day forever and yes, they were right.
But mine became the day I died.
(Few hours ago)
I gently smoothed the lace on my wedding dress while I looked at my reflection in the mirror.
This was it,the happiest day of my life.
Outside the palace, the sounds of laughter filled the air. Obviously, hundreds of pack members had gathered to witness me become Jax Fenric's Luna. Music echoed through the courtyard, and servants hurried from one table to another with trays of wine.
In fact, everything was so perfect that I couldn't stop smiling. It has been three years… Three years of loving Jax and still thinking he loves me equally, believing he loved me just as much.
I picked up my bouquet and took a deep breath.
In ten minutes, I was going to be his wife officially. But when I stepped into the hallway, something felt... wrong. A vague feeling of uneasiness came over me.
The ceremony was about to begin.
So where was Jax?
I frowned and looked around.
"He was here a minute ago," one of the servants whispered.
“Maybe he was nervous.” I comforted myself as a small smile appeared on my face.
Yet, I began searching for him anyway.
I first went to the library; there was nobody there. I proceeded to the dining room, but there was still no one. The house was completely silent, only the noise coming from the main hall, but no glimpse of him.
Just as I was about changing my mind to go to private study, then turning around, I heard a laugh coming from the inside room that made me stand still.
Wait! I knew that voice.
That laugh...I knew it.
It was so familiar.
Could that be Ivy… My stepsister? I felt my heart beating faster.
Why was she here with Jax?
Before I could stop myself, It was too late, as I pushed the door open.
Then behold! Everything inside me shattered as I collapsed in tears.
I couldn't believe my eyes.
Jax stood between Ivy's legs while she sat on the edge of the desk. His hands clutched her hair while their mouths were pressed together in a passionate kiss, as if I was invisible.
His jacket lay on the floor and Ivy’s dress had been pulled halfway up her thighs.
Neither of them noticed me.
They were both still oblivious to my presence as the bouquet slipped from my fingers and the roses hit the floor and scattered on the floor.
Only then did they turn.
Without a shred of remorse or a hint of embarrassment.
He quietly buttoned up his shirt.
"Diana," he said. "You came early.
I felt my mouth dry. "What?”
The word barely escaped me.
"What are you doing here?" He asked me as Ivy gracefully climbed down from the desk and cuddled Jax. She wrapped her arm around him, and flashed me a winning smile.
"What does it look like girlfriend?" she asked less cared. "He's kissing me."
"No!!!" I shouted in frustration as I grabbed my head wishing this was only but a dream.
"No... Jax, tell her to leave. Now!" I took a step toward him.
"For God's sake this is our wedding day. We're getting married today babe."
For one second...
I was expecting him to feel remorse, atlesst let me know that this is a goddamn joke or one of his usual pranks. But no, Instead, he replied with a cold and mocking laugh.
"We're not getting married baby girl. I am not in love with you, Diana." He said.
My world felt like crashing before me.
"What?"
"I never loved you."
The room started spinning.
"Babe? I whispered. “Yo… you mean to tell me after everything we've been through? You… Babe just tell me you are joking" I said as tears started streaming down my hot cheeks.
"You really are stupid," Ivy sneered as she walked closer until we were face to face.
"Did you really think Jax wanted you?" She chuckled.
"He only wanted your f*****g inheritance baby girl."
My breathing stopped.
"What...?"
"Your father left everything to you. The land, businesses and even the pack's fortune to your hands”
"But yesterday..."
She grinned wider.
"...you signed everything over to Jax."
My legs almost collapsed underneath me as I slowly turned toward him.
"Tell me she is lying to Jax." I said as I felt my heart giving up already. He didn't even flinch.
"It's true." He said coldly
""I am in possession of everything now. So I don't need you anymore." He responded.
Then I felt the last piece of my heart broke. So this was it, the flowers, the promises, the engagement. Every "I love you, kiss and every dream. It had all been fake all these while.
More hot tears blurred my vision, but I refused to let them fall this time.
"You used me."
"We outsmarted you," Ivy corrected.
"You've always been too easy and gullible to fool." She said finally as fury burst out in me. I turned immediately and ran.
My dress dragged across the marble floor as I swiftly made my way to the grand hall.
I had to let the elders and the pack be informed. Someone had to know what was going on now.
Immediately I pushing, the huge doors opened. The music stopped immediately as hundreds of eyes turned toward me. I froze as I shouted on top of my voice holding my expensive gown which was now a wretch.
"Everyone hear me out!" I shouted.
"My wedding is a lie!"
The people gasped.
"Jax and Ivy have been sleeping together!"
"They stole my inheritance!"
“They deceived me!"
Whispers spread across the hall.
Then… The doors opened a second time as Jax walked in, looking very relaxed, stylish and flawless.
To my greatest suprise, Ivy followed behind him with tears running down her face.
"Diana..." Jax sighed sadly.
"I'm sorry everyone had to witness this."
He lowered his head and said softly, "She's been through so much stress lately..."
Aghast, my eyes became really big, "What?"
"She just made up the whole thing." He gave me the look of fake sympathy.
"I told her to calm down, but she ignored me and ran away."
"Never!"
I shouted.
"He's lying!" I pointed straight at Ivy. "The two of them were together!"
Getting hold of her mouth, Ivy started sobbing. "Diana suddenly attacked us."
""I guess I am to blame for her ranting so cruelly. I don't know why she's saying these horrible things."
The Head Elder slowly stood.
His disappointed gaze settled on me.
"Diana."
"This isn't how a future Luna behaves."
"You've just made a fool of yourself."
I felt like my stomach was suddenly knocked away as I threw a glance around the hall.
Everyone was doubting what I said. Nobody believed me, not even one person.
A sheered pity or disgust could be seen on every face.
Or disgust.
I was completely alone.
Ivy slowly walked toward me.
"You should come with me," she she said softly.
"You are in serious need of a healer." She reached for my arm as I slapped her hand away.
"Don't touch me! Don't even think about it!"
For a moment, there was just silence in the room. Then Ivy gave a smile, a very mean one
She slipped out a silver dagger from inside her dress.
Before I could react… she drove it inside my stomach, stabbing me in the stomach.
My blood spilled on her hands as agony ripped through me.
I gasped.
The blade gradually came out and my hot blood stained her dress and her arms spreading through my wedding dress.
Nobody came to my rescue. Nobody believed me not even the only man I've loved throughout my life.
My knees became weak as I felt no life moving out of me. I crashed onto the cold floor.
I held the where I was stabbed with my hands, but the blood wouldn't stop.
It kept flowing.
Then, I looked at Jax who did not move at all, help or even scream for help. He just looked at me while I was dying.
Then, people starting screaming. Some were going backward and others were covering their mouths hampering for their own safety. Unfortunately, there wasn't a single person who came to save me.
So this is it. This is how I will end without being a Luna or being a bride. But only as a fool.
My vision blurred.
The ceiling faded as my vision blurred and darkness slowly engulfed everything.
Then, suddenly…. Boom!
The entire palace shook as the massive front doors exploded inward and one by one, candles went out.
Everybody was stunned by an immense Alpha Aura.
Infact, the pressure was unbearable and the agony reached its peak, as every wolf dropped to their knees.
Jax dropped on the floor and Ivy released the dagger and collapsed, trembling.
Even the elders bowed their heads as I struggled for my last breath.
Then, something appeared blinding the whole place with his light and glory.
A tall figure stepped through the broken doorway.
He wore a black coat, with dark hair and a golden eyes that glowed like fire of the volcanoes.
The whole grand auditorium was dead in silence as he looked at Jax, not sparing him a glance.
He ignored everyone else and then his eyes found me. Lying in a pool of my own blood.
Zach Hamilton.
The Alpha King.
He walked toward me.
“Who..who could be this?” I struggled to open my eyes while fighting with death.
(Then blank out)
