Little princess of the sea, her father called her back in the day when he was alive.

With her mom and 5 sisters, she lived in a beach house just a few miles from the village.

They lived as close to the sea as they could.

Because if their fins dry's up, they turn human.

A few years ago they thought it was al a myth.

Until it happened to their mom.

She was caught by fisherman and they locket her on their boat.

They didn't give her any water, her skin went dry, and her tale never came back.

That's the day her father died trying to save his wife.

After that, they couldn't live in the sea anymore, so Athena's mom got them a little house at the beach.

But they need to watch out,

Even a little drop of water could turn her into her mermaid form.

But nobody pays attention to it at the beach.

There are a lot of girls with fake tales pretending that they are mermaids, so they fit right in.

Her mom works 3 jobs to support her 6 girls.

Athena is the youngest of them al. Her oldest sister is ready to get married to a nice guy, whose family was wealthy in de sea.

So all the attention is going to the wedding right now.

Athena doesn't care about the wedding,

She knows her mom can't come because it's in the middle of the ocean.

And after the big day, they will never see their sister again because everyone sees their family as failt

They still don't know how her oldest sister found a man in the sea.

Maybe she lied?

Maybe it's real love.

Athena didn't know.

nobody tells her antyning because she is the youngest.

Everyone sees her as a little girl.

But she isn't a little girl anymore. She's 16.

Athena didn't have much of a bond with her sisters, she lived most of her life on land, while her sisters grew up in the sea.

She loved her sisters.

But they were so different.

It's the day of the wedding. Her sister showed her mom everything she could.

So she wouldn't miss all of it.

They planned a nice day out.

First stop. The nail salon.

Everyone got their nails done.

Even Athena, she doesn't care about her nails.

The next stop was the hair salon.

Athena laughed when they arrived, it was wasted money because they would get married in the water.

Nobody could see if they went to a hair salon or not.

But it was jus for her mom.

So she would be happy and that she would be a little part in the wedding.

When their hair is done, they go back home.

it was time for her sister to say her goodbyes to her mom.

Everyone was very emotional.

The time had come, and they walked al together to the water.

Mom walked with them in the water, she stopped when her belly hit the water.

The wedding was beautiful. Athena loved that she could play with the dolphins again.

It was getting late and Athena wanted to go home.

But her sisters wouldn't take her.

They still wanted to dance.

Athena was getting tired, and she really wanted to go home,

It wasn't that far, she thought.

So she left on her own,

Not knowing it would be the last time she saw her family.

she woke up from a nice nap she taught.

finding herself on the floor in a sleeping back.

she looks around but didn't know where she was.

and started screaming.

Ali and James could hear her from downstairs.

Who was that? Ali asked.

There are more people here?

James and Ali run upstairs trying to find out where te screams came from.

The moment they arrived at the rooms, a door opened.

Athena screams again the moment she sees the 2 of them.

calm down. James said.

Who are you? Where am I? Where is my mom? Athena asked with a trembling voice.

Ali takes her and leads her downstairs to the sofa.

My name is Ali and this is James. We don't know how or where we are either. Ali said.

We jus woke up here too. James added

Ali walks to the kitchen for a glass of water to give to Athena.

Before she arrives at the kitchen counter, she hears food steps.

She runs back to James and Athena.

There are more people here. She said,

We need to look in every room, maybe we will find clues? James said

Or more people, or the kidnappers. No, we need to go find an officer outside. Athena said, still with a tremble in her voice.

You can go outside, but the only thing you are going to find are trees. We are in the woods. Ali said a little b*chy.
