Red lights were flashing as we hurried down the hallway. I stumbled along, my hurt feet aching as Geabble kept his hand wrapped tightly around my arm. Arthur didn’t look back as he led us down the hallways. I didn’t recognize where we were going but I doubted it was anywhere I wanted to be. The building shook slightly and dust rained down from the roof above. Arthur paused as he looked up for a moment before continuing on.
“If the lights go out,” Geabbe whispered to me, “get him away from us.”
