While we waited for Holly and Iris to join our merry band, Montgomery gave us a tour around the outside of his house. The house itself had a remarkable wrap-around porch with rocking chairs and tables placed in various spots. I could imagine sitting in one of those chairs every single morning, drinking my coffee, and greeting the day as the sun came up. As we walked around, Montgomery told us that the house sat on 135 acres of land. Most of the land was wooded.
