Chapter five

While opening the door, the same bright light I had seen outside just disappeared as soon as I stepped into the room

I felt an urge to shout but the next thing I saw crippled my voice, I stood open-mouthed not knowing what to say, lo and behold it was Ivy standing at the center of the room.

"Ivy is that truly you"I said still in total confusion

" Yes, it's me"she replied, not knowing what to do, if I should shout cry or be angry, I quickly ran towards her giving her a tight embrace.

"i don't understand but why did you save me back there at the alley, I thought you humans were evil" I said

"You shouldn't conclude that way, not all humans are evil we still have the good ones among us" he replied.

"Anyways thank you for saving my life, but I'm still confused on how you got into the capital city of the elf kingdom without being spotted" I asked with great curiosity because I was told how knights mounted the four walls of the capital, not even a straying animal could walk twelve meters to the walls without being spotted, talk more of a human

he replied "I told you before I don't know how I got here but as soon as I discovered it was the elf kingdom I had to cover my identity to avoid being spotted"

"okay"

"I'm not sure if you told me your name or what you were doing back at the alley" he said with a bit of anxiousness in his tone

ohh he seems to have forgotten because I did tell him my name, i thought

moreover my cheeks were now getting red I could tell he knew I was blushing, although it was dark

" I'm princess Ivy, daughter of king Aragon the third" I said with a bit of pride in my voice

"ohh really, then we must have been perfectly matched" he replied

what does he mean by perfectly matched, he's human, and I'm elf how could we possibly be a perfect match

"I don't think so, I'm a princess and you're human not just that I'm an elf princess" I said, but he kept on smiling that seemed a little weird, what's he smiling at?

"Ivy I'm also a prince too" he said while winking

"what.!!" you didn't tell me that, I yelled

"I know right, but I'm not just a prince" what's he trying to say

"you didn't care to know how I was able to disarm those elves or how I was able to disappear with you"he said

" are you trying to say you're a magical prince"I said with a bit of fear, magic was something I didn't like that much

"yes I am" he said

I stood with so much shock and surprise, then I remembered

"Tarvan" didn't know why I called his name out, it seemed to just come out

"whose tarvan??"he asked

" ohh tarvan is my elder brother, we both came out for a walk"I replied, knowing he was going to ask more questions

"then how come I didn't get to see him" he asked before I could reply he interrupted

"ohh you lost your way back home" he said

" i didn't forget my way back home, I was just too curious about the street you found me in"I replied with a little bit of seriousness

"okay,so where do you think your brother should be,maybe I could take us there if you insist"

"no thank you,you have done a lot for me this evening besides I can't tell where he is exactly so the best I think you could do for me now is take me home"I said with some manner of plea in me,already it was late and I could sense that tarvan was at home searching for me,on a second thought I just hope mom doesn't find out I was missing

" okay,hold my hands"he said

as I stretched forth my hands to his suddenly in a twinkle of an eye we vanished and then appeared in my chamber

"wow, how is it possible you took me straight to my chambers" I said expecting an answer but he just smiled.

Now I could see his face very well,he was such a handsome looking prince though he wasn't as muscular as tarvan but he's features where too attracting,he was tall had a nice set of blue eyes and a pointed nose,I could tell he's lips were soft because of its pink nature

now I felt like giving him a kiss but it didn't sound nice to me because we barely know each other moreover he may be married?,i wouldn't want to kiss someone's husband, all these were thoughts in my head seeking for answers

"ivy" he called,

I was still in wonderland when I felt a touch on my hands

"yes,i'm sorry I left you for a while pardon my childish behaviour" I said with a bit of remorse

"its fine,I was just thinking mind if I see you again"

"yes"I didn't hesitate to reply maybe I was getting excited about the idea of seeing him again,i'm sure he could tell how happy I was from my tone I used in replying and facial expression "but how is that possible, when I barely come out from the castle"

" that's not a problem, just say my name and I will be here"he said,before I knew what was going on he vanished.

However,I had lots of question in mind but it didn't bother me that much because I was certain we would see again.

"where have you been all this while" he said still holding me,I knew tarvan was going to look for me everywhere so I could feel the stress he went through,all because of me

"if I told you,I don't think you will believe me"I replied

" try me"he then said

"I met a human"immediately I said that,tarvan let go off me,he's eyes were filled with fear and surprise.
