This was a bad idea, actually, it might be the worst idea she’d ever had, Aurora thought to herself as she looked into the mirror. Her moss green dress hugged her curves, ending just below the knees. She’d applied some makeup, and her curls framed her pretty face. But all she could see was that stupid look of hopefulness in her eyes, that maybe this could mean that he changed his mind about them, about his family and his responsibilities. Even though, deep down inside, she knew this wasn’t the case. She frowned at the woman in the mirror, cursing her eagerness to get hurt again, just when she’d started to get over this guy. Why on earth did she accept his invitation? If there was a rulebook for going out with an ex, there would probably be only one rule written in it over and over again:
