GETTING BUSY WITH MY BOSS

The following weeks, I decided to put all my focus back to my career, the company had a contract to sign with another company in the same industry and I had a short time to review with the company lawyers if it was worth being signed by my boss. No sooner had I started working on that than the group of new employees showed up, that was definitely more work on my desk. I had to align each of them with work to do and getting all of them settled in and doing their jobs clearly would take about a week and more. In those days it was easy to lose track of my personal life, after those three weeks my boss requested me to have a week at home as I looked more than tired and stressed out.

On the third day of the week at home, I received a call from my boss, Mr. Allan " Hello Ms. Elizabeth, you urgently needed for work " he said. I kept quiet stormed with thoughts in wonder if something had gone wrong in my absence. "Ms. Elizabeth? " he said and in a panic reply I told him how I would be there in a short while. I prepared myself hurriedly for work picked up my bag from the sofa and rushed out without saying a word to grandma. A smooth masculine voice called me and said "Ms. Elizabeth, the boss asked me to pick you from home" it said, And on looking further I noticed it was my boss' driver. I thanked him then rushed into the car, I was really worried whether it was something to do with the new employees or contract.

That was when the driver drove me into a very big mansion, one am sure everyone would have in their dreams. "Is this where the boss told you to take me? I asked the driver, and he happily nodded yes. I stepped out of the car and thanked the driver again, then one of the maids led me to the beautiful garden which was well decorated with a rosy scent filling the air. I was blinded by its beauty till it came to a halt when my boss called out my name and said, " Ms. Elizabeth, do you love the place?" I turned to him and told him how the whole place was mesmerizing. That was when he whispered in my ear and said " Its decorated just to suit you, my darling!" as he slowly reached for my hand with a smile on his face. That was when I paid attention to what he was wearing it was the suit, the one which was the latest design in town and how he looked so handsome. he held out a bouquet of flowers to me. The words on the decorations read, " HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, OUR FIRST DATE " ,Mr. Allan had to really sit down and talk to me as I could not believe what was happening in front of my eyes.
