That day Mr. Allan showed me all the love he as much as he could, then drove me safely back home. Grandma had already slept by then, I walked straight to my room, had a long warm shower as usual and sat on my bed. Thoughts one by one rushed through my mind in wonder if I was ready for a relationship with Allan, that's when I recalled John, how much I loved him since I was a child and what he had told me. As thoughts continued sailing into my mind I fell asleep.
The next morning, I was awakened by grandma's laughter with her friend. I got out of bed feeling a little sickly, and walked out of my room in pajamas to see which one of her darling friends had paid us a visit. Oh my it was Margret, the one she always talked about, the one with whom she shared with the best moments of her youth. Her joy for her seeing me was beyond measure and I gave her a warm hug, she still looked amazing at her old age, she proved age was just a number. "You have grown up to become a fine young woman, Elizabeth," she said looking at me in amazement. With everything going on in my life plus tough decisions I had to make one could tell that something really disturbed my mind. To cover up the whole situation, grandma asked me to kindly change to other clothes for the three of us to take photos together.
I did all the cleaning up in a rush, I did not want to keep our visitor waiting for long but when I got to the living room it was like as if she hardly been there, it was just me and grandma. "Margret has already left, my dear, " grandma said looking at me sharply then she continued and said "She said it seems like there is something disturbing your mind. " The only choice I had was to tell her everything, after all she was all I had, I really needed someone's advice to get me through the episode in my life. I don't know how her words influenced me the whole of my life besides her but they were always the magic in the moment. Trusting myself with every piece of advice from her that day, I was ready to give myself a chance to love again and have self love.
