The Dragons are Relocating?

MJ POV

After watching Mina fight that Anna girl, well, I guess I can’t call it a fight. Mina read her very well. She knew that she could win before she initiated the challenge. Gem is just bouncing. She wants to train with Mina. ‘Mate is strong, she wants to be stronger. She will make an excellent queen,’ Strom said preening. I just shook my head at my dragon prancing around. Gem is going to be great. We all head into the meeting hall and take our seats. People around us are staring and talking, partially about Mina’s fight, and partially about how powerful we must be is Mina can take down a wolf in two hits, plus catch her by the neck in wolf form after the challenge.

Alpha Bryant and Kent take their seats at the table next to us. Another man that I do not know has joined them. He looks over at me, smiles and nods his head. Alpha Bryant motions for me to come over. I excuse myself from my table and take a seat next to Bryant. “Prince MJ, this is Alpha John. He is the Alpha of the Black Forest Pack. He is also my younger brother,” Bryant introduces me. I extend my hand to him, “Alpha John, it is wonderful to meet you.” He takes my hand in a firm grip, “Please, the pleasure is mine. My pack borders my brother’s pack on the north. We overthrew the previous Alpha because he was cruel and was mistreating and locking up women to be breeders. I took over as Alpha and we have reformed the pack over the last four years. Bryant has told me that he is signing alliance paperwork with you after this meeting.” “Yes, the dragons are going to be scouting the mountainous area to the South East of you,” I reply. “He told me that as well. If you are willing, I would also like to sign an alliance with you. You are allying with my brother, I would come to your aide even if we are not allied, simply because you are with my brother,” he states. “I do not see an issue with forming an alliance with you. Would your alliance conditions be any different than that of your brother’s,” I ask. He shakes his head, “No, everything would be the same.” ‘Father, please come here. We may be adding another pack into the alliance party,’ I link. My father walks over. I introduce them and explain the situation. “Father, I feel that this is an alliance that would be good for us and our allies. We are strengthening not only our borders, but theirs as well,” I state. “What do you mean,” Bryant and John ask at the same time. “I mean, that we would not only strengthen the border to the west of you, with the alliance pact, your borders would be strengthened through our territory into Kent’s and to the south through Alpha Jace and Alpha Dylan. It also adds more warriors to call for aide if the need arises,” I explain. They nod in understanding. “OK, we will stay after the meeting to sign the papers with all of the leaders that are planning on joining this alliance pact. We can then submit the paperwork to the council,” I say. Everyone nods and we go back to our seats.

The meeting starts. It is more boring stuff that doesn’t pertain to anyone but a couple of groups that should be handled just between them. As the meeting gets close to being done, the council asks if there is any other business such as new alliances or territory purchases. I share a look with Jace and Dylan. I stand and say, “Yes, myself and the other dragons will be looking at a territory that we are considering purchasing today. We will know in a couple of hours if we are going to move forward with the purchase or not.” I see an evil grin spread across the face of the head councilman. What is with this guy? “Which territory are you planning on looking at,” he asks. I walk up to the mad on the wall and point to the area. “Ah, well that territory has been in high demand. We cannot guarantee that it will be available when you get done looking at it,” he says with his stupid grin. “Actually,” I hear my father’s beta stand and say “ My Prince, Steele and Stella did a preliminary fly over this morning. Steele seemed pleased with it so we have already submitted the money for the territory and will be picking up the title this evening.” He nods at me and sits down. The councilman has another grim look on his face. “Well, now that that is settled. We are also going to be submitting paperwork on alliances that we have signed and are signing after this meeting,” I say walking back to my table. “You have already made alliances,” the council asks astonished. I reply “Yes.” “Who,” they all ask at the same time.

Jace and Dylan stand. The council rolls their eyes. “Yes, yes, we knew them because they are mated to dragons. Is that it?” Kent stands and says that we have already signed. Bryant and John stand and say that we are signing after this meeting. Another man, I think Jace said his name was Lord Drake stood and said he was interested in an alliance as well. A couple of other Alphas stood up saying that they were interested as well. The look on the council’s face was hilarious. Some were just gaping in astonishment. A couple looked like they had swallowed a lemon, and the head councilman just looked pissed. “How did you get all of these packs to ally with you in one day,” he spits out. I shrug and say, “We were upfront with our intentions from the start. People seem to respect that.” After stating that, a couple more Alphas stood. I nod to them all and say that we can discuss this after the meeting. The council ends the meeting in a hurry and almost flees out of the room. Jace, Devon, and Dylan were trying hard not to laugh.

Mina POV

Walking to the meeting hall was interesting. People were openly staring at me. I heard a few people say congratulations. I even overheard one girl say good riddance. As we are walking back I notice the other two girls out of the corner of my eye. I turn to look at them and they look like I am about to literally, bite their heads off. ‘We might if they try anything to get our mate’ Sapphire growls in my head. ‘Don’t worry. I am pretty sure that they want Devon and Dylan. Plus, Cara and Ember are just as capable as we are. Hey will be put in their places if need be,’ I reply.

We get back to our seats. MJ is called over to the table with Alpha Bryant and Kent. I look around the hall. People are very loudly, talking about what happened and how cool it was. I few girls even waved at me and gave me a thumbs up. The hall goes quiet as the council takes their places and starts the meeting. Towards the end the council asks about alliances and territories. MJ gets up and tells them about the territory that we are going to look at after this. ‘I don’t like the look on the head councilman’s face,’ Sapphire says. I nod and continue to watch the councilman. His look is grim and there is a look of plotting when MJ mentions that we should know in a couple of hours. I link Callan and Dad, ‘We need to purchase this territory now! I think the head councilman is going to try to stop us from claiming it.’ Dad nods to Callan. Callan quickly gets on his laptop and emails the company holding the title that we are willing to pay full asking price in cash, right now. Luckily, the company emails back saying they accept our offer, Callan transfers the money and that is done. “My Prince, Steele and Stella did a preliminary fly over this morning. Steele seemed pleased with it so we have already submitted the money for the territory and will be picking up the title this evening.” The head councilman looked like he had been punched in the gut. ‘Jace, we need to watch the head councilman closely. He is very upset that we purchased the territory already,’ I link Jace. ‘When did you purchase the territory? I thought you wanted to see it first,’ he responds. ‘When the head councilman got a wry look on his face after MJ told him about the territory, I linked dad and Callan about it and Callan literally just purchased the place. We will go look at it after this meeting and the alliance signing,’ I link back.

Jace POV

I snicker a little at the look on the head councilman’s face when Beta Callan said that they had already purchased the territory. ‘I thought they were going to see it first,’ Devon links me. ‘They must have thought ahead. Did you see the looks on most of their faces? I don’t think that many of them are happy that the Dragons are back. They are threatened by them,’ I reply. I hear Mina linking me and she confirms what I thought except that it was just bought. I look over to Callan and he smirks a little. ‘Callan is good. He literally just purchased that territory during the time that MJ was speaking. Mina told him that she was worried that the council was going to try something, so he got ahead of them,’ I link Devon. He replies, ‘I feel I should bow down to his awesomeness. That is amazing. I don’t know if I could have done it that fast.’

As the meeting continues, I keep my eyes on the head councilman. There is something off about him. Then it hits me. HE’S A WARLOCK. ‘We need to find out what coven the head councilman comes from,’ I link Devon. ‘OH s**t. That’s right. I had forgotten that he’s a warlock I’m on it,’ he replies and opens his laptop.

MJ

The meeting is finally over. Many people are filing out while some make their way to the table that we are at. Jace, Dylan, Devon and I push some tables together so we can all sit and talk. The council has left the room, but not without shooting some nasty glares our way.

We set the tables up in a U shape so we can easily talk and see everyone. My father and I are sitting at the head of the U. I stand up as everyone sits down and am about to start talking when one of the council members walks in. I stop and look at him questioning. "I apologize for interrupting, but I want to let you know that when you are done signing your alliances to please give me the paperwork," He says. He sighs heavily and looks at me and father, "I am Milton, the Hunter's representative. I would like to speak to you about my concerns about the council." I c**k my eyebrow at him and Kent stands up and says, "What do you mean Milton?" "The council has become corrupt. Most of the members are only concerned with power and control. I don't know if you noticed, but the head councilman, Trevor, was going to try to block the dragons from taking over that territory. If you had not already purchased it, he was going to before you could get back," He states. I nod, "Yes, my sister Mina picked up on that. Callan was able to purchase the territory before I finished speaking at the meeting." "That's good. I'm glad you are perceptive future Luna Mina. I have brought my seal so I can stamp any alliance papers you have so the others cannot find a way to sabotage it. Do you mind if I sit in on the meeting so I can seal the papers right away?" He asks. My father stands up and walks over to him. He easily has about four inches on the older man. "I am Dragon Kind Maximus. Thank you for the information that you have provided. I would be happy to sit with you and learn more about the council from you while my son takes over alliance talks. After all, he will be in charge soon," he says extending his hand to the man. Milton smiles, shakes his and says, "I would be happy to start your training for the council. It will be nice having some new blood on the council." My father and Milton walk towards another corner of the room so I can proceed with the meeting.

"Well, that was interesting. Alright, as many of you know, I am Maximus Junior, Prince of the Dragons and will ascend the throne in six months. We have already signed alliance papers with Kent from the Strikers Force Guild, Alpha Jace from the Black Diamond Pack, Alpha Dylan from the Blackfur Pack, Alpha Bryant from the Whitepaw Pack and are going to be signing with Alpha John from the Black Forrest Pack as well. It has been suggested that since we are allying with so many that we could potentially form an alliance pact. That would mean that any Pack that signs are automatically allied with every ally in the pact. This would give every member of the pact added strength.

With that in mind, let me tell you what the Dragons can bring to an alliance, we are fast, strong, can fly, and there are some other abilities that differ from dragon to dragon. If called upon, we could easily bring other allies with us as we can carry some on our backs as we fly. This could reduce the response time and hopefully save lives. We are interested in any allergies that plans to be loyal to us and the rest of the pact, no matter the size of their pack." I sit down so talks can begin. Every Alpha and leader that attended signed the alliance pact. The pact consists of wolves, bears, one werecat Pack, one fairy faction, one elf village, another hunters guild equaling two guilds on the pact. We were all signing when the door opened and a young woman walked in accompanied by young boy. "Hello, I am sorry that I am late but I had to fetch my brother from the child care people. I am Lucy, I am the head witch of the Northern Witch Coven. We are interested in allowing with the dragons," she says.

Mina

All eyes are on the Lucy. I stand up and walk over to her. "Hello Lucy, I am Mina," I say as I extend my hand to her. She takes my hand without hesitation. 'I do not feel any deceit from her or the young boy,' Sapphire says. 'She is strong. Her magic is pure and good.' I lean down to the boy, "What is your name?" He looks up to me and confidently says, "My name is Noah. I'm 10 years old and get to start my training in a month." I smile at him, "I bet you are going to be a great warlock." He gives me a big, toothy grin. "Do you want to come outside with me while your sister talks to my brother," I ask him. He nods excitedly. I take his hand and we walk outside. 'I sense no deceit from her brother. She is pure and good' I link MJ and Jace as I walk out the hall.

Jace

Mina gets up and goes straight over to the witch. I am nervous but know she can take care of herself. She introduces herself and then starts walking out the door with the little boy as she links us that Lucy is pure and good. 'I am going to take him outside to play so he is not bored,' ‘OK sweetheart. I’ll tell you what happens,’ I reply and continue to look at the witch. I stand and walk over to her and extend my hand. She shakes my hand confidently but looks a little surprised. “I am Alpha Jace Black of the Black Diamond Pack. The woman that took your brother outside is my mate and Luna. If she says you are good, I believe her,” I say. She nods and I lead her to the table to speak with the others.

MJ POV

I watch as Jace leads the witch over. Mina linked saying that she was good and pure. I trust her judgement. She has a gift about that. They reach me and I extend my hand, she shakes it. I study her, ‘Mina and Sapphire are gifted with the ability to read people. We should trust her, and if the Hunters can turn over a new leaf with us like Kent, there is no reason a Witch Coven couldn’t,’ Storm says. I agree with him. “Lucy, it’s nice to meet you. I am Maximus Junior, Prince of the dragons. You said that you are interested in joining our alliance. Why is that,” I say. “The North Witch Coven has had it’s share of issues. We went through a time where many of my people were practicing dark magic. My mother and a few others banded together to drive out the dark witches. That happened about 10 years ago. My mother took over as the Head Witch and transformed the coven to only light magic. I took over about a year ago after my mother passed,” she responds. “I’m sorry for your loss. On behalf of the Dragons, I would be happy to offer an alliance with you. We are willing to move beyond what was done in the past, and just like my father said, there are good and bad of every species. Let’s look to the future,” I say. She smiles brightly. I show her the papers that the other leaders have already signed. She looks over the papers quickly and signs without hesitation. “I am so excited! Not many species want to ally with witches because of the past. I hope with this, we can move forward. I am happy to offer my services and knowledge of magic whenever it is needed. Here, take this. It is a coin that you can rub when you need my assistance. My necklace will glow when you rub it and I can locate you,” she says handing me a gold looking coin. “I will have to enchant more for the other leaders in the pact. It’s not much of an alliance if I don’t know when you need magical help,” she says. The other leaders nod in understanding.

As we are finishing up, my father and Milton walk back over. “Have you finished your alliance papers?” Milton asks. “Yes, they are ready to be signed and sealed by the council,” I say. He nods, steps forward, initials each page, signs the last and then places his seal on it. “Great! Now it is official and recognized by the council,” he says with a smile. Jace steps forward, takes the papers and goes over to a corner of the room. I watch him. How did I not see a copy machine there? After Jace is done making copies for each member of the alliance pact, he hands each leader a copy and gives the original to Milton. Milton nods and walks out of the hall.

“Thank you all. We will be inviting you to out new territory once we get it where we can live on it,” I say. Everyone nods and leaves. “Let’s go check out our new home,” I say to my father and the other dragons.
