CHAPTER 1: HELICOPTER CRASH
Country A, Europe
“Young Master, the helicopter is ready. However, Her Highness instructed me not to let you go,” Ronald, the butler, said respectfully, bowing his head.
Sebastian smiled faintly.
“Thank you, Ronald. You’ve always been more loyal to me than my own parents, and I appreciate that. But today… I need this. I want to see the world for myself.”
Ronald hesitated. “Your mother is worried, sir.”
“I know,” Sebastian replied softly. “I’ll speak to her. Please inform the pilot—I’ll be flying the helicopter myself.”
“As you wish, Young Master.” Ronald bowed again before leaving.
Sebastian made his way to his parents’ room, certain he would find his mother there. He knocked gently before entering.
Mrs. Alexandra Taylor stood by the window, gazing out at the garden. Even from behind, her posture revealed her unease.
He approached quietly and wrapped his arms around her from behind. She flinched for a brief second, then relaxed as she recognized him.
“Sebastian…” she whispered.
He kissed her cheek and turned her gently to face him. Her eyes were already filled with worry.
“Mother,” he said softly, guiding her to sit on the bed. “I’m leaving today.”
She held his hands tightly. “I know… but I can’t ignore this feeling. Something doesn’t feel right.”
He smiled reassuringly. “It’s just a trip. I’ve always wanted this. I won’t be gone long, and I’ll call you whenever I can.”
Her voice trembled. “Promise me you’ll be careful.”
“I promise,” he said firmly. “And I love you.”
Tears welled up in her eyes. “I love you too, my son. Your father left early this morning, but he asked me to give you these.” She handed him a set of credit cards. “He also wished you a safe journey.”
Sebastian chuckled lightly. “That sounds like him.”
They stood and walked together to the rooftop, where the helicopter awaited.
“Smile for me, Mum,” he said playfully.
She forced a small smile. “Goodbye, my son. May God protect you.”
“Safe journey, Young Master,” the staff echoed.
“Thank you, everyone,” Sebastian replied, climbing into the helicopter. “Ronald, take care of my mother.”
“I will, sir.”
With that, the helicopter lifted into the sky.
Sebastian Taylor was a young man in his mid-twenties, born into one of the wealthiest families in Europe. Despite his status, he was known for his humility and calm nature. Tall, well-built, with blond hair and striking blue eyes, he was often described as the most eligible bachelor in the country.
Yet, he had never shown interest in any woman.
Today, however, his mind was not on reputation or expectations—but on freedom.
“Control, this is Sebastian. Do you read me?”
“Loud and clear, sir.”
“I’m experiencing an issue. The fuel indicator is dropping rapidly, and I don’t understand why.”
There was a brief pause.
“That’s impossible, sir. The helicopter was fully checked before departure.”
“Well, something’s wrong,” Sebastian replied, his tone tightening. “I’m losing fuel fast.”
“Try to land immediately. There’s a safe zone to the west. You are currently over Africa.”
“I’m aware,” he said sharply. “I’ll attempt an emergency landing.”
“Yes, sir. We are dispatching assistance right away.”
Sebastian gripped the controls, his focus sharpening. Despite the situation, his training kept him calm.

But then—
The signal began to break.
“Control? Do you get me?”
Static.
“Control!”
Nothing.
Back at the station, panic erupted.
“Sir, we’re losing his signal!”
“Try reconnecting!”
“Hello? Sir, can you hear me? Please respond!”
Inside the helicopter, alarms blared.
Sebastian’s heart pounded as he struggled to stabilize the aircraft.
“Come on… come on…” he muttered, fighting the controls.
The ground rushed closer.
Too fast.
“Oh no… no, no, no—!”
His voice broke into a scream.
“AAAAHHHHHH!!!”
The helicopter spiraled out of control and crashed violently into the dense African forest below.
