Third person Pov:

Zion Xavier was known to be the most ruthless alpha in the southern Region.

He was rumoured to be the most fearless alpha both in person, and his personality, that every one who saw him, the one who knows about him in person, or the ones who had even only heard rumours, and gossips about him, was subconsciously had a little fear attached to the name of the Alpha of the Night Howlers pack.

That infamous, and rumoured fearless big bad Alpha guy of the Night howlers pack, however was now, sweating nervously in his anxiousness, and his heart rate was beating at such a rapid speed, that he was nearly afraid that his poor heart would jump out of his chest cavity, all due to his scared condition.

Truth to be told, he was looking like a…, well he was a total mess in appearance for the past few hours.

It was all because that he was worried, and was anxious about the current condition of his mate Rory.

He was afraid of what will happen to their soon to be relationship status, once Rory wakes up from her unconscious state.

In reality, what he was the most afraid of was, what will he say to his little mate, once he saw Rory in person, or what he was supposed to say to her, in order for him to not to make the current situation, even more complicated than it already was right now.

He was afraid of what will his mate Rory would think about, or what will be her reaction to this entire fiasco, that seemed to want him to pull all those hair on his head out in his restlessness.

And that was what his hands were doing to his hair subconsciously, without even him noticing that he had already placed his hand on his head, and was literally gripping his hair in a firm hold, as if he was having thoughts of pulling those hair, all of them out in a single go.

And he was exactly going to do that right now, when he was stopped by the news.

Zion suddenly received a mind link from his gamma female, Casey, for whom he was waiting for so eagerly from the beginning.

And as he was expecting to hear, Casey had informed him that Rory had woken up.

With a determined look in his eyes, he took a resolution in his mind, that today he has to face everything, and bring solutions to his long time issue, which was turning into a problem.

He went out of his alpha office, and went towards the direction of the room, in which it contains all the answers, that needs to be gotten according to him.

The familiar dark brown wooden door came in front of his eye sight, clearly daring him to open it.

Zion rubbed his hands on his pants repeatedly to get rid of the moisture, that was accumulated in the palm of his hands, due to his nervous state.

Regardless of that, Zion took a deep breath to calm down his racing heart that was beating like it has went crazy, and reached out his hand to twist the door knob that was present in the door in front of him.

‘Here goes nothing’, Zion thought, and opened the door, with his heart in his throat.

The moment he opened the door to Rory’s room, he was immediately greeted by the sight of his lovely mate sitting on the middle of the bed, and his gamma female, Casey who was sitting at the side of the bed, holding the hand of his little mate in her hands.

Casey was talking to Rory a moment ago, and then she saw that the door to Rory’s room was being pushed open from the other side, and in came her Alpha, Zion, looking all handsome, and strong.

But from the trembling eye lashes of her Alpha, she knew right away that her alpha was as nervous as Rory was right now.

She secretly said a prayer to the moon goddess for the best wishes to the two best people on her life, as she has wanted them both to clear all the issues in between them, and end up together as a loving couple very soon.

Casey soon blinked her eyes, and realized that she should go out of the room, and give privacy to them, so that, they both can talk about the issues in between them, and solve them all.

“well… I will be going out for now. Take your time to sort things in between the both of you guys.

And Rory sweet heart, remember what I had told you a moment ago. Think about it very carefully, and make a wise decision. Then, I will leave the room now”, Casey said the final sentence, to both of them commonly, and when the part that concerns about Rory came, Casey looked at the innocent looking girl in the middle of the bed, and said those to her, while caressing Rory’s hands that was in her hold.

Casey has been consoling Rory, who was started having some breathing problems, the moment she woke up.

Once she woke up from her unconscious state, Rory looked around to grab the situation of her surroundings. And once she thought back to the previous events that took place in Zara’s room, before she had lost her consciousness, it all came back to her, and hit her memory like a fast running train, making her to lose her breath for a second, due to her high anxiety levels.

Casey who was sitting by her side, quickly took her hands into hers, and comforted her, making Rory to come back to her normal state.

Then like the big sister, that Casey has always have been to her as, Casey held the pair of her pale looking hands into her own, giving the warmth, and comfort that Rory needed the most right at that moment.

Then she spoke in her usual warm tone, making Rory to listen to it in full concentration.

“ Rory, sweet heart. I know that the recent turn of events that took place, must have startled you greatly, and the news which you heard about your relationship with the Alpha of the pack, might have made you to be suspicions of everything around you, and makes you not to believe anyone around you anymore.

But trust me, sweet heart. Be open minded, and listen to what the other person have wanted to say to you first, and then think about the situation yourself.

Give a chance to the other person, to explain their situation to you. Hearing the things about the matter, from that concerned person, may let you to know things from their point of view.

Just follow what your heart desires to do, and believe in your gut instincts, sweet heart. They will guide you to make the right choice for your life.

But honey, consider this as a favor, that I am asking from you.

Do not think more about the old things from the past, and make it affect your present, and the future of your life.

Be open minded, and make a wise decision “, Casey told to her, just before Rory heard the door to her room was being pushed open by Zion.

Then Casey bid farewell to the both of them, and went out of the room quickly.

Zion looked at the little figure sitting in the middle of the bed silently, without saying a single word, while Rory squirmed in her spot, when she was left all alone to face the Alpha of a pack.

**because she has always been afraid to be in the presence of an Alpha, or any high ranking bulky male wolf, for that matter, all thanks to her old pack.

Gathering all the courage that she could muster up from within herself, Rory opened her mouth, and question Zion, who has moved, and was now standing at the foot of the bed.

“ About the thing….that you have told to me about before, is it really true, Alpha Zion?”, Rory finally asked the question, that was poking in her mind constantly for some time.

“yes, Aurora. It was true. Your are my destined mate. I am your second chance mate, Aurora “, Zion said firmly, in his usual confident voice.

Rory just blinked her small doe like eyes in confusion, and took a deep breath, and asked again.

“Were you guys playing a trick on me??. If that was the case, then can you guys stop playing pranks on me now. It was being too much for me to handle now, please Alpha Zion”, Rory said, making Zion to be stumped speechless in his spot.

'So she was thinking that I am pulling a prank on her, huh??.. Damn it!! ‘, Zion cursed inwardly, and looked at his mate, who was looking at him hopefully with her little eyes resembling like the red eyes of a little bunny, due to the tears that was accumulated in her eyes.

Rory thought that they were pulling a prank on her, as she really did not believe in the words of Alpha Zion.

Even though a very small part, deep within her trusted the words of Alpha Zion, and wanted what he has said to be true, but the wounded, and the timid negative part inside of her, was reluctant to believe those words.

Her mind too was making it hard for her to believe those words, as her inner subconscious mind, was afraid, and scared of getting hurt yet again.

So it was making it hard for her to believe the words of Alpha Zion, even though a little voice, deep inside of her fragile heart said otherwise.

Third Person Pov:

Zion looked at Rory who sat in the middle of the big bed, while looking at him sneakily now, and then through her eye lashes, looking all timid, and was afraid of him, which made him to want to bang his head hard on something looking very solid.

He did not want his mate to look at him in fear, and more than that he wanted to give her that secure protective feeling, instead of what she was feeling right now, afraid to be in his presence.

‘ Even now, she was still afraid of looking straight into my eyes, darn it', Zion thought, and ran a hand through his hair in frustration.

But above all of that, what have shocked him the more was, that the fact that Rory did not believe what he had said to her before. About she being his destined mate.

Zion let out a defeated sigh. Then he went ahead, and sat at a corner in the foot of the bed, so that he can be at the same, or somewhat near to her head level, so that they can have a face to face talk.

Because Zion wanted Rory to look at him in his eyes, when he was about to say what he has wanted to say to her, so that she can feel his sincerity through his eyes.

Like the wise men in the past had said, one’s eyes are the windows of their inner soul, and the eyes of a person can never lie.

If we wanted to know the true inner thoughts of the person before us, we can see them clearly in their eyes.

But due to the sudden movement made by Alpha Zion, and him sitting at the foot of the bed, made Rory to be startled, and subconsciously, all her red flags were stood up erect in her mind.

She subconsciously moved back little by little, while putting as much space as she could possibly make in between Alpha Zion, and her.

This action of hers was not gone unnoticed by Alpha Zion. Of course, he saw through that action of hers, and was even able to read the mind of his mate, like an open book.

He knew that his mate was still afraid, and felt uncomfortable to be alone near a male, that too a high ranked wolf like him.

‘like really….how much did she suffer in her previous pack to be this distrustful in matters like this??. If I ever get my hands on those damned fuckers, I will skin them all alive!!’, Zion thought to himself internally, while racking his mind at the same time, on how to say the matter again to Rory, to make her to trust in his words.

The hands he placed on his thighs clenched, and unclenched simultaneously, in both frustration, and anxiety, while Zion took a few deep breaths to calm his racing heart, that feels like it does not belong to him at all.

Then he looked at his mate, who was trying to shrink herself as small as possible, in the opposite side of him, making him feel a little helpless.

“Aurora!! “, Zion called out her name in his calm, and deep baritone voice, while trying to sound as low as he could possible.
