Seeing each other again

*Raven* After they've bought everything that Jayce had written on the list and the things Raven knew he had forgotten, Sarah helped her pack it down in the car, and the friends said goodbye and agreed to meet at Raven’s house an hour before the party started the next day. She drove home to Jayce and let herself in with the spare key. She carried everything into the kitchen; it was easy to see that no one had been at home for a while. She sighed and opened the doors to the garden and the windows. After putting all the items away, she went out into the garden to check if it was ready for the party. The grass needed to be mowed, and the patio furniture needed to be washed off, but it had to wait until the next day, she thought. Then she went back inside and cleaned up, dusted off, and hoovered the carpets. Jayce never asked her to do those things and he didn't expect it, but if she didn't do it, it wasn’t done. When she got home, she sent a text message to Jayce that everything was in order, and he sent a kissing smiley and a statement that she was the best in return. *Jayce* He jumped out of the taxi in front of his house and took his bag from the trunk. He could hear the lawn mower in the garden, thinking that Raven simply had to stop.. it was nice of her of course, but mowing the lawn for him was perhaps exaggerating just a bit. When he put the suitcase on his bed, he noted that she had also changed the bedding and made the bed. He walked through the kitchen, it was of course cleaned and there were fresh flowers on the table. He stopped just outside the door and looked at her.. his best friend, what would he do if he didn’t have this beautiful little spitfire of a woman to fix everything for him? She had not seen him yet as she was eagerly pushing the mower. She looked so tiny beside it, but she wasn’t particularly big 5'3 and slender. Her long black hair shined almost purple in the sun; her parents had really chosen the right name for her, he thought. When she turned the machine to walk back, she caught sight of him, and she immediately turned off the mower. He held out his arms, smiling hugely. "Hello Birdie, I'm home". "Jayce". She flew over to him and literally threw herself into his arms. Her arms were around his neck, and her legs wound around his waist. He laughed and grabbed her, she weighed next to nothing and she didn’t even push him out of balance. "You've lost weight again, Birdie; it's a good thing I am at home so I can fatten you up.” "I will definitely not be fattened up and stop calling me Birdie.. oh damn, it's so good to see you". She squeezed herself into him and he smiled happily. He couldn’t help but notice her soft breasts being pressed against him, but he quickly pushed the thought away. She was one of his best friends and she had been right, he really needed a girlfriend. "It’s great to see you again too, my beautiful... I've missed you. But you didn’t need to do all this". He kissed her gently on the cheek and put her down. She patted him on the chest and looked indulgently at him. "If I didn't do it, it would never be done, sweetie.” "You are probably right, but at least let me mow the rest of the grass; you can scarcely see over the handle." He said, laughing and she hit him hard on the shoulder. She walked over towards the door. "I will go and empty the suitcase then... Otherwise it will still be filled 14 days from now.. Now do you have anything naughty in there, I should see ?" "Thank you, sweetie, and no, nothing in it you can not bear to see.” He responded and saw her disappear into the house. He threw his T-shirt on a chair before he started to get the grass finished. *Raven* Typically Jayce, she thought. He had just thrown all his clothes into a hotchpotch, clean and dirty mixed together, so she ended up throwing it all in the laundry and filling the washing machine for him. Then she made a pitcher of lemonade and took it out into the garden. It was a hot day for this early in the summer , and he could probably use something cold to drink; she certainly could. When she came outside, she could see he was just about to finish with the grass, he had taken off his T-shirt, and she could not help but look. He looked absolutely not bad at all bare-chested. She couldn’t help but bite her lip as he shut off the mower and straightened up, a few sweat drops running down between the muscles on his chest and down his stomach, making her realize she really needed to find a boyfriend. "I thought you probably were thirsty, so I made lemonade”. She smiled at him, and kicked herself mentally.. It's Jayce, dammit; he would bully her for months if he caught her staring at him. He threw himself on one of the lounge chairs and grabbed a glass which he almost emptied in one gulp. "It was really well thought out, my beautiful.” "Well whatever would you do without me ?" She said, laughing, and took a glass of lemonade too. He shook his head. "Be completely lost.. who would fix everything for me when I am away and make sure everything is perfect when I get home ? But you didn’t need to make my bed”. "Afraid that I will find your little secrets in your bedside table ?" She said and winked at him. He cradled his head and groaned. "Yes, something like that, and it is polite to keep quiet and pretend not to know.” "My sweetest friend ..do you really think I haven’t known your little dirty secrets forever? I have after all slept here a few times and you've dated a lot of my friends, believe me I know everything". She said laughing. A cheeky smile pulled suddenly at the corner of his mouth. "Well then I'll have to say sweetie, you should just know how much you do not know". "Uh, no thanks, and I'll find you a girlfriend as soon as possible.. because you are f*****g needy". She shook her head and stood up. He smiled and made a face. "Well, I can’t really argue with that.. so yes, please, you are bringing that girlfriend tonight, right ?" "Sorry, Jayce..yes I do, but she has a thing for Milo actually, and she is just his type, so I actually thought about hooking them up". She smiles apologetically to him. He rolled his eyes. "Typically, but if you think they are a good match, it sounds like a good idea... Milo could use a nice girlfriend”. "I will scurry home and get ready ... Maybe you are lucky, and there will be another sweet single girl here tonight, we'll see." She messed up his hair before leaving and heard him swear lowly; he hated it when she touched his hair.
