Chapter Two The moon had just begun to rise over the landscape, casting a silver glow over the devastation. The wind was thick with the smell of ash and smoke, and the serenity was oppressive, punctuated only occasionally by a wounded animal. To all this, Elara found Emily with her younger sister Aethera who went to take her from where Elara kept Emily. “I'm not pleased with where you kept her.” A little smile developed on Elara's face when she saw Emily “Now I recover my faith.” The sun rises and is about to set the golden glow of the sun overshadowed everywhere the breeze is tranquil and blissful. Elara and Emily are still reeling from the incident of the previous night, as they both walked through the ruins of the pack den, Emily's eyes scanning the destruction and damages and how a once strong thriving pack was now reduced to rubble and ashes, even the homes buildings were destroyed and severely damaged. As Emily walked around the den she came across the dead bodies of her pack members and their lives that had been lost in a brutal battle with the skyline pack. Emily felt a wave of grief wash over her as she saw a young wolf's dead body she knelt beside the body and tears streaming down her face. "Why?!!!" Emily whispered, her voice barely loud. "What happened, why did it have to come in this way?” As Emily mourned the loss of her pack, she knew that she couldn't stay there. Elara holds her hand and keeps moving, but as they keep moving Emily whispers into her mind "I will find a way to rebuild and start anew." Elara reminded her where they were going "We have to check on Arias, your mom." Arias has been in the god's home ever since she gave birth to Elara who is the midwife and the healer of the moon shadow pack took her to the gods perhaps she could come back to life. Elara thought that the journey ahead could be long and difficult but if Arias is still alive she can still put her baby Emily through the journey. On getting to the god's home by the tower mountain Elara discovers the entrance is open she walks in with Emily but near the temple, they find no one Aria's body is not there. They were surprised. Suddenly the wind began to blow on the surface of the earth, the weather changed into clouds. Emily was very scared she couldn't understand what was going on. The temple turned dark and the thunder was streaking heavily. The thunder and lightning overshadowed Arias as she stood beside the lake then Elara could see her from where she was and Emily cried “Mom!.” Emily ran to her and Aria looked back and saw Emily, her little one, a tear of happiness dropped from her face as she could see herself with Emily alive again. Emily narrates all that she saw in the pack den and how the skyline pack has destroyed their pack territory her mood changes immediately “Elara isn't true” she confirms the event. And they both left the god's home. It night the sky was ablaze with the hard glow of the thunder lightning and full moonlight, casting more silver light over the landscape. The wind was electric with high tension as the moon shadow pack prepared for battle. Emily motherAria's stood firm and proud, her face looked focused with determination. Tonight we will defend ourselves, our land, our families, our lives" Arias declares her voice barely audible ringing out across the moon shadow pack. We will not be scared by the skyline pack's aggression. We will fight for our families, our rights, our freedom, and our way of life." The pack blows up into the sounds of snarls and howls, their keenness for battle palpable. Thane, Emily's father stood by Aries, his wife's eyes burning with fierceness and deeper light came from her inner spirit. As the skyline pack engaged and emerged from the shadow, Straight away the moon shadow pack charged into the battle, their eyes glowing like coal in the dark. The two packs clashed in a flurry of teeth and claws, the sound of their battle echoed through the night. Emily fought bravely, her celestial power raging like a storm. But despite her bravery, she was vastly outnumbered. As the battle raged on, Emily's mother, Arias began to tire. In a crucial bid to turn the heat of battle, Aria called on the ancient magic that is possessed through the land. The world responded, trembling the feet of the combatants. But it was getting too late. The skyline pack leader, a massive and strong wolf named Kai, struck Arias down with a violent blow. Emily's mother Arias fell to the ground, her body broken and battered. But as the moon shadow pack dragged one foot, Thane Blackwood took Emily and fled, leaving Aria's Emily mother to die alone on the battlefield. The young wolf's eyes were full wide with fear and terror as Emily clung to Aethera's fur, the battle sounds fading in the distance. Elara the old and poor woman, found Emily shivering alone in the forest. Elara took Emily as young as she was and started raising her as her own. Emily never forgot the death of her mom who died on the battlefield that night and her father who abandoned her. The celestial sign appears to her in her dream. The moon's power overshadowed her in its silver light doing the night even as the sun came in a golden glow over her and the stars empowered her. But as the year passed, Emily grew up strong and extra mile fierce, the lunar powers in her were developing gradually and mighty simmering and just beneath the surface. She stood up as small as she was in the den before all the wolves, her eyes changing to green light as she anchored loudly “It was time for revenge” Immediately the young wolf joined her for war.
