Chapter 1:

"What do you mean we can't find him, the divination said to find him in Southern Grafia. It even specifically said to look for signs of red and a large group of powerholders. How is that hard to do?" The sound of the chief of the Temple, the current second most influential company in the world in terms of magic and power, can be heard from the elevator at the end of the hall that leads down the two hundred-story building. "Well, find him then. I mean he is an SS-class Powerholder that we know of but have never met or seen! We need to keep tabs on them, and you know why!" The chief's oval, bald head glimmers slightly from the sweat and sunlight shining on it. His muscular features and towering body didn’t fit the tight, black suit he was wearing. The seams were nearly torn and the thread barely keeping the hulking mass hidden from view. "Fine then, I'll give you two more weeks. Then I'll send someone else!" He slams down the wireless phone on the modernized wooden table in front of him that encompasses half the room. "All useless, I bet they are already close. We can't let them meet him first." The chief's face pulls in a strange way to make it seem like a frown, but the overwhelming mass of muscle covers what should have been an easy expression. His golden eyes glanced at the empty room. The blinds along the walls are closed, blocking the sunlight and view. The circular desk with a central screen is surrounded by the many chairs to smother the already limited space left. The plate on each chair contains the name of each member of the board. Lewigh, Friedrick, Boswald, Crump, Staln and, lastly, his own, along with his position, Chief Crimmald. The room would've been cut off from the outside if it wasn't for the one door facing his back. This is stupid. He turns his back to the table and walks through the door, uninhibited by the solid wood it consists of. He can't possibly be powerful enough to even hide his presence, like the third seat in the P9 group, right? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's cold, as always. The misty air seems to shift a little revealing a small fire that emanates enough heat to warm everything in the mist. That should help you Seat 2. Oh, mind your own business Seat 6. Quiet down, all of you. Do you really want to provoke HIM? Never. Never. Good. Let's focus on the problem. He is growing impatient and already has eyes and dogs looking. We should take caution when treading there. I know that is why I want Seat 3 to go! Shut it! I don't like scouting some newbie. But but but... No is no. Let it be Seat 2. Who can move fast enough to get there before they find him and react accordingly? Seats 2, 4 and 6 should do. Really? So, you are being lazy again, huh Seat 5? Don't reprimand me, woman. Those who do not understand the art of planning should not provoke the system ruling them. Your threats don't touch me. You little... Enough already! Can we please decide and get this over with? I'm at a funeral for Gighs' sake! Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. LET ME MEET THE BOY. You sure Leader? YES, HE INTRIGUES ME. I WANT TO MEET HIM AND SEE WHAT MAKES HIM SO SPECIAL. As you wish, we'll leave it in your capable hands. MEETING IS ADJOURNED. WE'LL MEET ON SUNDAY AT 4 AGAIN. Ah! Can we make it 5? FINE. Thanks Leader. Aww come on, Leader! Why are you so nice to her and not us? Hehe, because I don't cause trouble! NO. YOU SIMPLY CAN'T FIGHT A CHILD WHEN IT COMES TO ARGUING. Hey! Hahaha!!! LEAVE NOW. Yes Leader! Yes Leader! Yes Leader! Yes Leader! Yes Leader!
