CHAPTER FOUR

1230 Words
I went to school early, the next morning, with the intention of apologizing to Lois. I walked straight to the one place I knew I'd find her. The gym. I was walking towards the gym when I heard my name. “Aria!Aria, wait up,”Kael shouted. “What the hell do you want from me now?” I spat. “Are we back to this question now?” “What do you mean? We never left the question.” “I thought we already became friends.” “We never did and never will be.” “What brought about that?” “I was being bullied in the library the other day,and someone who claimed to want to be my friend couldn't even stand up for me.” “I wanted you to learn how to stand up for yourself and besides, I didn't know how you would react.” “Good,I will always remember your lessons.”I said and turned to leave. “Aria, calm down alright,I'm sorry for not standing up for you as a friend should.” “Okay.” “Thanks but that's not important right now,you have to leave this place with me.” “Where?” “You'll know when we get there.” “No, I refuse to go anywhere with you.” “We have to leave,if the Ironfang clan finds you, things are gonna get messy.” “Ironfang clan…….who are they?......what are you talking about?” I asked,my voice cracking and my brow creasing. “You mean you don't know yet.” “Know what?” I asked, creasing my brows slightly. “You are the last descendant of the silver blooded wolves– the Mooncrest Clan, and silver blooded wolves are like curses to the entire wolf clan.” He said nonchalantly, like it was the most normal thing to say. “Are you sure you've not gone insane?” I asked and leaned forward to touch his head. He pushed my hands away slowly. “I'm serious Ria,you are in grave danger as we speak.” He said and I could see the fear in his eyes,I could even smell it. “I'm not in any motherfucking danger.” I spat confidently, even though my heart was thumping fast. “You need my help and protection.” He said again and grabbed my arm. “No I don't,if I should take your words for it,I am perfectly capable of handling myself,so you’ve got nothing to worry about just carry on with your life.” I hissed and shook his grip on my hand away and started walking away. “I'm not sure you do.” He said and grabbed my arm again. “Ohh… I do…trust me I do.” I snickered sarcastically, fear slightly evident in my eyes. “Then….. let's go.” He said and pulled me. I broke off from his grip and again and gritted my teeth. “You just warned me about the dangers lurking ahead, how do I know you are not one of their accomplices?” I hissed and stared coldly at him. “I just told you that they're coming and my sole aim is to help you escape them.” He said slowly. “If you wanna get someone like me killed really quick,I'm pretty sure you'd try this same game.” I snickered. “What do you mean?” He asked . “It means I don't trust you.” I spat angrily and turned to leave. “Lois said you are a tough nut to c***k and she was right.” He said and ruffled his hair. “You've met Lois today, where did you meet her?” I asked and creased my brows. “At the rooftop. Why?” He asked calmly. I said nothing and ran towards the stairwell leading to the rooftop. “The view from here is quite beautiful.”I said as I walked in. Lois turned to leave. “You can't keep avoiding me,fine I'm sorry for raising my voice but I didn't mean to.” I said and lowered my voice. “You didn't mean to,but you did it anyway.” Lois said and flipped to the next chapter of the book she was holding. “But I do deserve an apology, you told my mother things that I didn't want to tell her,for my safety and benefits.” I said, calmly. “I'm sorry about that, but if I didn't,it could put you in real danger.” Lois said and drew me close. “I'm sorry.” She mouthed again. “I'm sorry too.” I muttered calmly. “It's fine, but what are we going to do about what you are becoming?” “What am I becoming?” “A silver blooded wolf of the Mooncrest Clan.” “Kael just said the same thing, not too long ago. “Seems like you've met my brother.” “Wait Kael is your brother, how come I never knew.” I asked both confused and curious. “Yeah and I guess he probably told you about the wolf stuff,we move tonight. “No, I gotta inform my parents first.” “Gosh….” Lois sighed. “This is a very important matter, I'll see you later.” “But how do you know this much about wolves?” “Because I am one,I'm an Omega wolf of the Odyssey clan.” “Wow!!!.” “That's no wow, compared to what you are,you are an Alpha sissy, bloody one calm down a bit.” She said and we both giggled loudly. “I'm still lost but I believe you, you're my best friend." “Good.” “But I will have to go home first. I left school immediately and headed straight for my house. I was walking frantically in the woods like a lost person. I saw those eyes again but instead of golden I saw blue eyes. They charged towards me,from the shadows Kael emerged in his true wolf form and fought them off. “It is quite a show you put up there.” snickered. “I almost believed you.” “I warned you about this.” Kael said. “So I didn't believe you about the wolves, you then sent people to ambush me and you say you saved me and all of that,I get it now,you don't need to do all that,I have already met with Lois.” I snickered sarcastically. “Those people were definitely not hired by my brother.” Lois said, emerging from the trees behind. “Huh???” My voice hitched. “Yeah, you were in actual danger, had my brother not been here,I can't say what would have happened to you.” “Oh my God- thank you Kael.” I said and my throat dried up. “There's no need to thank me,get your things and meet us in that oak creek towards the waterfalls.” “Sure,I'll be there.” I walked into my house,it was unusually quiet,my mom should be home,so where is she. “Mom? Mom?” I called as I went upstairs. I stopped in front of my room door and saw my mom and dad tied to a chair and a domineering man sat on my rolling chair. “Ahh… if it isn't the infamous silver blooded wolf.” The man sighed and his lips curled up into a sarcastic smile.
