Chapter 9( Kingdoms on edge)

293 Words
The news of the Tower of Nyx attack spread like wildfire through both Elandris and Vhalaris. In Lunaris, the capital of Elandris, the High Council convened in panic. Advisors whispered of rebellion, prophecy, and the Moonbound Princess’s uncontrollable powers. “Her magic grows stronger,” one mage warned. “If she cannot be controlled, the balance of Isyra will collapse.” Queen Serapheline, Lyria’s mother, remained calm but stern. “She is our blood. Not a weapon. We will not act in fear.” --- Vhalaris Responds Far to the west, in the desert fortress of Dun’Vhar, King Aldor pounded his fist on the council table. “The Princess of Elandris wields power that threatens us all. Kael was sent to guard her, yet she grows stronger! We cannot wait!” Generals argued over whether to launch a preemptive strike, but Kael’s name came up again and again. Rumors painted him as either loyal or traitorous, leaving the king uneasy. --- Tensions Escalate Back at the Tower, Lyria and Kael sensed the shifting winds of politics. The attack had not only exposed a breach in the Tower but also begun to turn the kingdoms against each other. Even their fragile alliance was now under scrutiny; letters and envoys whispered of betrayal, fear, and growing suspicion. Kael’s voice was low, tense. “They will use this to start a war. And if they do, neither of our people will survive.” Lyria’s silver eyes glimmered with determination. “Then we stop them… before the kingdoms tear themselves apart. Together.” Outside, the desert winds carried news, rumors, and unease across Isyra. Both kingdoms were on edge, and every day that passed made the prophecy—and the darkness beneath the sand—more inevitable.
