Chapter 14: Cats out the Bag
[ Trinity ]
She could feel their eyes on her, poking at her body like greedy little crows. "Trinity," A voice called out, the outline of their shadow showing up on her desk as the sunlight stopped beating so harshly on her pale skin.
The blonde glared at the man before her, having not been given the best impression of him since she's moved to the over-exciting town of Beacon Hills. Her hand subconsciously gripped tighter on the pen in her hand, the homework assignment the class had been given long forgotten. "Isaac," She replied through gritted teeth. "What could you possibly want?"
The beta werewolf was wearing his usual black leather jacket and a light blue t-shirt underneath. "I need to talk to Jackson."
"Then go talk to Jackson."
"I can't," Isaac declined, sitting down to take the seat beside her at the desk. "Derek needs to get information on him now that we know that he's the kanima."
Trinity tried not to find interest in the conversation, but after constantly hearing talk of the mystical creature that was killing people in town, she found his words much more compelling than they would've been three weeks ago. "How'd you find out about that? The Scooby Gang seemed to want to keep that on the down low."
"Erica found out from Stiles. She's the one who pieced it together and now we're trying to find out what happened before they do."
She nodded her head, understanding everything he was saying. "Alright, then why are you talking to me?"
"Because, I need to talk to Jackson but he won't talk to me. He doesn't like me."
"I wouldn't like the person who kidnapped and accused me of being a homicidal killer." Trinity gave a faux gasp. "Oh wait, I don't." Her look faded into one of a glare and Isaac returned it.
"I'm sorry about that, okay." Isaac seemed desperate, his usual cocky stance had dropped significantly and he seemed much more approachable without the usual smirk on his face. "I just really need you to do this for me."
Trinity pondered the thought. "Say I did. What would I need to ask him about?"
"His parents." Isaac blurted out.
"Why don't you just ask Erica?" Trinity asked aloud. "My dad is his doctor and says that whenever her father comes in all he talks about is his old cases, and the Whittemore case is his favorite."
"You're dad's a doctor?"
"Yeah, but that's beside the point." Trinity speaks, ignoring the surprise present on Isaacs face.
Isaac pursed his lips, blue eyes squinting in curiosity. "Isn't it some doctor code to protect or something? Not cause further harm on people."
The moment the words came from his mouth, Isaac wished he could hit rewind and take it back. Trinity's body tensed up. "What are you implying, Isaac?"
"Look," Isaac lowered his voice, making sure that anyone around them didn't overhear anything being said during the conversation. "Derek and I saw what your dad does to you. We can help you."
Trinity shot up from her seat, and any trust she was beginning to feel towards Isaac, although minimal, it was all gone now, disappearing into thin air before it even fully formed. "You don't know anything," She hissed at him.
"Don't play dumb, Trinity. I know what happened."
"Oh really?" Trinity's accented voice caught the attention of quite a few people in the classroom. "Tell me then, what happened?"
Isaac looked around at all the added eyes that were trained on them, their conversations dying off. He tried to put a soothing hand on her shoulder to console her that she was safe, but Trinity was on defense. "Trinity, calm down. It's okay, everything's okay."
"Don't touch me!"
Trinity ripped her body away from him, the violent act making her stumble a few steps away from him. Her right blue eyes were lit ablaze, a color so bright that Isaac wondered if the color was fabricated. Everyone averted their greedy gazes to Isaac, expecting him to fill them in on the reason why Trinity fled from the classroom. "What the hell was that?" The teacher shouts as his classroom door slammed shut.
Isaac ran a hand through his thick curls that rested against his forhead. "I just made a big mistake."

Trinity was a runner, she ran from her problems instead of facing them head on. She preferred to think that she could handle everything on her own, that everything was going to be okay, that way of thinking worked best for her. It was all she knew, she didn't have anyone else. So, Trinity found herself cooped up in the girls bathroom, her small hands gripping tightly at the white sinks, her head bent down as the hot, salty tears threatened to escape their white and blue home. If Isaac was telling the truth, if he knew what was going on at home with Sam, the she'd have to be on her best behavior to make sure that she didn't do anything to tip Sam off. One wrong move, one misplaced bruise and there was a possibility that CPS would come knocking at her door and making things worse.
The door opened, and Trinity moved quickly to run into a stall, shutting the door. She put a hand over her mouth to hide the sobs that were hiding behind her pink lips. "Hello?" Another voiced called out, sounding like bells. "Is someone in here?"
The sound of heels clacking closer to her stall had the blondes head drop in exhaustion. "Trinity is that you?"
"Lydia, go away. Please just leave me alone."
"Are you crying?"
Trinity furiously wiped the tears from her eyes, bending over to put her backpack over her shoulder and rip the door open. "Leave me alone. I'm so tired of all of you getting into my business. You know I didn't do anything, so please leave me alone."
Lydia seemed to be used to being told to stop, her curiosity being silenced. "Not everyone's against you, you know?"
"Not everyone's for me either."
