Chapter 1
Chapter 1: A Whole New World
[ Trinity ]
Beacon Hills, California. Trinity had expected it to be a lot dirtier to be honest. She was taking the heavy suitcases out of the trunk when her dad walked out of their new home. "Lets go Trinity, the movers already came by before you got off of the plane."
About a week prior from her coming to America, Trinity's father, Samuel flew over before her to get everything set up for his job. She walked up the porch of the unfamiliar home, entering cautiously examining every inch of it. It was fairly large, three stories and a basement. "Your bedroom is on the top floor, I'll take your bags up." Samuel declared and grabbed the bags from her hands swiftly, leaving the blonde alone downstairs as he look the bags upstairs.
Trinity walked around the home, trying to familiarize herself with the surrounding walls. There was cherry colored wood floors and tan walls that were bare and had not a single picture held from them. "That'll be the first thing I change," She muttered and rubbed her hands on the clean walls.
"And what would that be?" A voice asked from behind her, which was soon recognized as her father's.
Inhaling a gulp of breath, Trinity looked up in his brown eyes. "Pictures. I was planning on putting pictures up on the wall. T-to make it more homey when we have guests or whatever."
His hand came up to run his stubbly face. "Go nuts." Was his response before leaving ber alone in the living room by herself. He wasn't one who would sit and have heart to hearts, he did what he had to do and didn't have time for extra.
Sam Mitchell was a doctor, he worked long hours and travelled a half-hour everyday to work at the hospital in Devenford. He didn't like living working at hospitals in his town—emotional attachments weren't his forte and the least amount of recognizable faces he had to see on a daily basis was best for the widowed father.
Releasing a heavy sigh, Trinity ran her fingers through knotted blonde hair. Looking down at the dirty clothes she was wearing, she began walking up the stairs to the new room and walked into the connected bathroom. Taking a twenty minute shower, she washed her hair and cleaned the dirt off her body before changing into some clean clothes. "Sam, I'm going to check out the neighborhood. Can I take the car?"
"Take your own." With furrowed brows, she hesitantly walked into the doorway of his room.
"I don't—"
"I'm not going to be home often and you know it. There's a car in the garage for you, keys are in the dash. If you come home lock the door." He monotonously replied and shut his room door in her face, but Trinity was too happy to care.
"I have a car," She squealed quietly, running down the stairs. She'd found the door to the garage surprisingly quick and hopped in the new Ranger Rover. It was black and sleek and it smelled like fresh leather. Cautious fingers ran over the steering wheel, afraid to apply too much pressure in fear of the car disappearing.
Not wasting any time, Trinity started the car and began her adventure in this whole new world.
