The Mistake Part 2

Dani's POV

After shopping and explaining everything to Vanessa we were finally back home.

"Well hello ladies. Have fun?" Paula asks

"Yes ma'am. Ms. Paula can you help me so Aunt Dani can get ready?" Cassi asks

"Well i would love to. What are gonna do with that hair?" Paula asks

"Could we braid it?" She asks hopefully

"Of course we can." She says leading her away

I stood there smiling like crazy when I felt someone step up behind me.

"Not nice to sneak up on people" I say

"I was only watching. she looks like she had fun" He says

"She did. She actually asked for a few things but I didn't let her go crazy. she seen some new shoes she wanted and I didn't have the heart to tell her no" I tell him

"She could have bought ten pairs of shoes and I wouldn't have cared" He tells me

"I know but I don't want her to expect it when we leave" I tell him

I feel him stiffen and sigh.

"About that. I was wondering something" He says

"go on" I say

"What if we really gave this a shot. I know we don't know each other and I think we should change that" He tells me

"Are you serious?" I ask

"Yes" He says

"Then change of plans. Cancel the reservation for tonight. Save it for a night for just us. I'll geet Vanessa to babysit one night. Tonight we do a family fun thing" I tell him

"Alright" He says nodding

"Then get out of that suit and put on some jeans." I tell him

I walk to my room and get ready and then I run to tell Paula to put Cassi in something comfy. Once we got down stairs I picked up the keys and we got in the SUV I drove for about thirty minutes and pulled up to a fair. Cassi squeals and I laugh at Ryan's shocked face.

"Ready?" I ask

"I haven't been to one of these since I was her age" He says looking around

"Well come on daddy she's ready" I tell him smirking

I open my door and I hear him mutter smartass and I smile. I help Cassi out and she grabs my hand and we head to the gate. Once we had our wristbands we headed in and asked Cassi what she wanted to do first. We rode the swings and a few other rides and Ryan won her a few prizes on the games and we ate some food. We got a funnel cake to share and when I took my first bite I moaned.

"Oh i have missed this" I say

When I look up Ryan was staring at me.

"What?" I ask

"You act like you haven't had sweets in years" He says

"I haven't had sugar like this is two years" I say

"What?" He says shocked

"Sugary sweets aren't on the shopping list when your on a budget"I say shrugging

"Your serious" He says

"I cut out what I didn't need for stuff she did need" I say

"Mommy can I go ride the cars?" Cassi asks

I nod and she runs over. we stayed where we were cause we could see her. We sat there talking when Cassi screamed. We both jumped up and ran over to see some man had a hold of her.

"Let her go" I snarl

"well well if it isn't Danielle" He says

"Luka let her go. She's mine." I snap

"No way" He says

I could hear someone calling the cops and Ryan threw a punch and I yanked Cassi up and stepped back.

"Stay the f**k away from my wife and daughter." He snarls down at Luka

"Sir let him go" A cop says

"Frank it's me" Ryan says standing up straight

"Ryan what happened?" The cop asks

"This bastard grabbed my child and wouldn't let her go" He says while glaring at Luka

"Officer I saw the whole thing. This man grabbed the child and refused to let her go. He was asked twice and refused so he took in his hands to get his child back" A elderly woman says stepping up

Another cop arrests Luka and I step up.

"Officer I know the man." I say

"How?" He asks

I look down at Cassi and back at him.

"I can sit with her" The elderly woman says

"Baby can you sit with this nice lady while I talk to the cops?" I ask her

"Can i have something to drink?" SHe asks

"Suree sweetie. Come on we will go right over there and grab something and come right back" THe woman says

"Stay where we can see you" Another officer says

The woman nods and walks cassi over for a drink.

"I know him cause he is my best friends brother. She and her husband passed last year in a wreck. I am legally her guardian. Her mother and father had it legally drawn up that if something happened to them she came to me and only me." I tell him

"So godmother?" He asks

"yes sir. legally she is mine. Luka wants her cause he thinks I get moneh every month for her. I get nothing. I bust my ass to give her everything she needs" I say

"Do you want to press charges?" He asks

I look at Cassi and sigh.

"Yes" I say nodding

"Alright. We can come to you with the paperwork. Get her home and warm." He tells me

I nod and thank him. I walk over to Cassi and sit down by her.

'Thank you" I tell the woman

"Of course. I'm happy she's ok" She says standing up

"Me too" I say kissing the top of her head

She nods and walks away and Ryan picks up Cassi and I grab all her things and we head to the SUV. Ryan drives us back and when we get back he carries her in ad puts her in bed and kisses her forehead. I get her ready for bed and kiss her goodnight and I walk out closing the door.

"Come with me" He says leading me to his room

He sits me on the bed and walks in the bathroom he fiddles around for a bit and comes back pulling me into the bathroom and I see he lit a bunch of candles and ran a hot bubble bath.

"Get in and relax and i'll bring you some pajamas and a glass of wine" He tells me and walks out

I strip and slide in the hot bubbling water and sigh. About ten minutes later Ryan walks back in and chuckles. I open my eyes and look at him and he smiles down at me.

"What?" I ask

"Nothing this is the first time I think i've ever seen you relaxed completely." He tells me

"I am never leaving this tub" I sway groaning when the jets pulse against my back

"Here drink this and enjoy. I laid your pajamas on my bed. I'll be in the office. I laid your phone on the counter so if you need anything just send me a text" he says

I sip the wine and moan softly. He chuckles and walks out and I relax for the next thirty minutes before I finally decide it's time to get out. That glass of wine got to me cause I was a little buzzed. I got dressed and walked to his office and walked in silently.

"Listen it was a mistake. We didn't mean to get married. I was actually suppose to marry someone else. They got the names mixed up. It will be over in a year and then I won't see her or the kid again" He says

His back was to me so he couldn't see me so I walked back out in shock. I went back to my room and went to be with a heavy heart. I didn't know what to think anymore. He said one thing and done another so I didn't know what to do. The next morning I got ready and got Cassi dressed and we headed down for breakfast.

"Morning" Ryan says

I nod and take my seat and sigh. I only eat half my breakfast and push it away.

"Was something wrong Danielle?" Paula asks

"Paula no of course not. I'm just not feeling very hungry" I tell her with a small smile

"You feeling ok sweetheart?" she asks me

"I'm ok. I need to make that call about the nurse and then Cassi and I are going out for the day" I say standing up

I walk away while Dialing the number I needed.

"Hello" A woman says

"Melanie please" I say

"This is she" She says

"Melanie this is Mrs. Masters. I waned to let you know you got the job" I tell her

"Oh wow. Thank you so much." She says excitedly

"Your most welcome. I really liked you and I think you will be great with Cassi. Can you come by around 4 to meet her and we will go over everything?" I ask

"Can we do 5? I have another appointment at 3:30 after that i'm free and clear for you" She asks

"Yeah that's fine. You can stay for dinner" I tell her

"Sounds great. See you then Mrs. Masters" She says

"Bye" I say and hang up

I rub my temples and sigh.

"You ok?" Ryan asks behind me

"I'm fine. don't worry about it" I say walking past him

"Dani stop. What happened?" He asks

"Don't worry we will be gone in a year and you won't have to see me or the kid ever again. I mean after all i'm only here for the money anyways" I snap at him harshly

"Stop right there. I knew you heard me. I said that to a nosey friend who was poking around. He is a reporter and even being his best friend he would go to the papers with this s**t. I don't want Cassi drug into this. Of course yall will be seen with me and that's a given. I was only looking out for the two of you. Those hungry money grabbing bastards will drag your name through the mud and i didn't want that" He tells me

I can see he's being serious and my eyes feel with tears and one slips down my face.

"Baby don't cry please. I get why you are upset and hurt and i'm sorry you heard the end of that conversation but I meant what I said last night." He tells me

"I'm sorry" I whisper

He chuckles and pulls me into his chest hugging me. I sniffle and relax against him.

"Hey why wasn't I invited for the hug?" Cassi asks behind us

I laugh and I scoop her up and she hugs us both. we hear a click so we turn to see Paula with my phone I laid down.

"On your personal phone." She says and lays it down and walks away

I smile and walk over and pick it up looking at it. I was looking at Cassi and Ryan was looking at me. I smile and send it to him and set it as my background.

"Now where are you to going today?" He asks

"I thought we would do some actual shopping and maybe get our hair and nails done" I tell him

"Good idea. I got you your own card. Also you will have a body guard. You won't even see him unless it's necessary." He tells me

"Alright" I say sighing

"We have a event tonight we have to go to. So you will need a evening dress." He tells me

"Aright Melanie is coming tonight I can see if she can stay with Cassi" I say

"Nonsense let her get settled and i'll look after Miss Cassi. I promised her baking if that's alright" Paula says behind me

"Are you sure? It's what Melanie is for" I say

"She may join us if it would make you feel better. But I would very much like to look after her tonight if it's alright" She tells me

"Can I please Aunt Dani? I promise i'll be good." She says

"Alright but you mind Ms. Paula and please take your medicine before bed." I tell her

"I wrote a note on the fridge when she is suppose to take it. Anything she is allergic to?" Paula asks

"No just not to much sugar. It doesn't mix well with her meds" I say

"Noted. Now I do believe Melanie is here. Why don't I set you three up in the garden?" Paula asks

"PLease" Cassi says

Paula smiles and walks out and I walk down to Melanie and lead her to the garden. We chat for a bit when Paula brings in drinks and Cassi.

"Cassi this is your nanny Melanie." I say pulling her in my lap

"Hello" Cassi whispers

"Hi sweetheart. It's so nice to meet you. I can't wait to get to know you" Melanie says smiling

"Do you like to draw?" Cassi asks

"I love to draw. I did a little in college. Maybe we can draw something for your room." Melanie says

"Yes please. Can we go to the park?" Cassi asks

"Of course we can. But i'm assuming your momma told you that you can't over do it right?" Melanie says

"Yes ma'am. I know." Cassi says nodding

"Alright. Well Paula offered to watch her tonight but would you mind joining them? I have a event I have to go to tonight" I say

"Of course. i heard her saying something about baking." Melanie says

"Yay" Cassi says jumping up and down

I smile and Melanie grins with me.

"Well why don't you go get ready and we will head to the kitchen." Melanie suggests

"Alright. Paula has my numbers just encase." I tell her

"I got it covered. Have fun" She tells me

I smile and walk to my room to get ready. By time I was done I had on a long red dress. My hair was curled and my make looked amazing. I slipped on my black stilettos and head down stairs.

"Woah" I hear

"Aunt Dani you look awesome" Cassi says

I laugh and kiss her forehead. I straighten up and smile softly. Ryan offers me his arm and I slip mine through his and we head to the limo. I slide in and he follows. we drive for a while and finally we stop and I see the flashes of lights outside. He turns to me and holds up a giant rock and I sigh. I hold up my hand and he slides it onto my shaking hand. He offers me a silver band and I take it sliding it onto his finger slowly.

"Relax I promise not to leave you alone tonight. I just need to show my face and then we are outta here" He tells me

I nod and he steps out and offers me his hand. I step out and my dress splits up my thigh and I see him gulp as I take his hand and step out and the cameras go crazy. I place my arm in ryan's and we start up the carpet. He stops to take pictures and answer a few questions.

"Mr. Masters is it true you were married?" A woman asks

"Why yes Natalie. This lovely woman is my beautiful Wife Danielle." He tells her

"Oh my Congrats you two." She says offering a smile

"Interview?" Ryan asks

"Would you mind? I can come to you" She offers

"Of course. Tomorrow ten" He tells her

SHe nods and smiles at me and we head inside.

"She seemed sweet" I say

"Yeah she is. Her dad is works for me. She won't release anything til she gets the interview done." He tells me

I nod and we walk over grabbing us a drink while he talks to a few people.

"Honey i'm going to the restroom" I say

He nods and I walk off and come back to a woman flirting with him. I smirk and walk up pushing past her and into his chest. I turn and see she is surprised.

"Lauren this lovely lady is my amazing wife" He tells her

"OH my. I'm so sorry. I didn't know" She stutters out

"No harm done. Please don't say anything til we release it" He tells her sternly

"Of course not. COngrats" She says

"Thank you" I say

She smiles and walks off and I sigh. Ryan rubs my back and he freezes realizing the whole back of my dress is open.

"What?" I ask looking up at him

He smirks and pulls me to the dance floor and spins me and pulls me into his chest and I giggle and we move around. I can see women eyeing him and I sigh.

"Can I cut in?" A woman asks

I go to step away and Ryan holds onto me tightly.

"I'm here with my date so no" Ryan says

She glares and walk off and I sigh.

"Is this the s**t i'm going to have to deal with?" I ask

"I promise to always be faithful but I will have it in our divorce if it happens then you get so much money for my infidelity." He tells me

I look at him in shock and I go to protest but he kisses me quick and I sigh.

"Come on we can leave. Besides I wanna see what else is under this dress" He tells me

"What do you mean what else? There isn't anything under here" I say walking away from him

I make it to the door and he is moving quickly to me and ushers me to the limo. ONce inside he puts up the privacy window and looks at me closely.

"Show me" He tells me

"What? No Ryan" I tell him

"Show me Dani now" He commands

He slides in the floor in front of me and pushes my dress up to my thighs and I slide down and spread my legs and my dress pushes up further and I'm bare in front of him. I go to close my legs and his hands clamp down on my legs holding them open. He leans forward kissing the inside of my thigh and I inhale sharply as he moves forward. He finally flicks his tongue across my c**t and I lose it. I moan loudly and grip his hair as he gets to work on my body. He sucks hard and then flicks my c**t softly and then i feel him slide a finger in me and I lose it as he flicks my c**t again hard. I c*m over his tongue and he keeps flicking his tongue letting me ride it out til I finally calm down. He pulls my dress into place and sits by me again wiping his mouth. He pulls me into his arms and I relax the rest of the way home. Once we got there i was exhausted so once I stepped out of the limo he swept me off my feet and carried me inside.

"Oh my is she ok?" Paula asks in a motherly way

"She is fine Paula. She is just tired" Ryan whispers softly

She nods and he carries me to his room and lays me on the bed and goes to get me some clothes. Once I was in some comfy clothes he stripped to his boxers and slid in bed with me. He wrapped his arms around me and we both fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning I was alone so I wandered down stairs to hear Ryan yelling at someone. I rushed in to see him yelling at Paula.

"What the hell is going on?" I ask harshly

"Nothing Danielle" Ryan snaps at me

"Watch your tone with me. Paula what happened?" I ask softly

"Cassi went with Melanie for a walk. Cassi got a little excited about a dog and started panting. NOw she is completely fine I promise we have her cooling off drinking some water right now but Master is mad at me for allowing her to go out" She says bowing her head

"Paula is Cassi ok?" I ask

"Yes ma'am. I made sure." She says nodding quickly

"Then you may go on with your day" I tell her

"Ma'am" She says nodding walking out

:"Ryan what the hell was that? Cassi is going to get like that sometimes. Paula took care of her like I would have" I say

"She shouldn't have been out there" He growls at me

"Ryan she is a 7 year old little girl full of wonder and imagination you can keep her locked up cause of her condition. She is fine. calm down and tell me what's really going on?" I say

"I care about her" He tells me looking out his office window

"Ryan it's ok to care for her" I say

"I'm attached to her already. What if something happens to her?" I ask

"Then we deal with it. We are her parents. BUt she is going to fine. I think you should apologize to Paula. You scared the poor woman to death" I tell him

"I will." He says turning to face me

He sighs and hugs me to his chest.

"Why is Mrs. Paula crying?" Cassi asks from the door

I look up at Ryan and he pulls from me and walks out the door passing Cassi and Cassi walks over to me and I scoop her up looking out the window. I step back and walk down to the living room and hear Ryan talking Paula.

"Aunt Dani can I go draw?" Cassi asks

"Of course sweetheart. I'll be here if you need me" I tell her

SHe smiles and runs off to her room. I take my phone and walk in the kitchen and start on some lunch. I decided on some taco salad so I turned on some music and started cooking. I was swaying back and forth singing along and when I spin around everyone was standing around looking at me. I jumped back startled and placed my hand over my heart.

"Jesus you all scared the s**t out of me" I hiss

"We heard you in here" Melanie says smiling

I smile and turn back to the stove giving everything a stir.

"Dani" Ryan says

I turn and look at him and I sigh.

"Paula you can have the rest of the night off" I tell her

"Oh. Are you sure?" SHe asks

"Yes i'm cooking Cassi's favorite tonight" I tell her

"Alright then. I'll head off then. Give a shout if you need me though" She says and walks away

"Would you like some help?" Melanie asks

"Cou;d you set the table for all of us? And Ryan go get Cassi" I tell him

They nod and walk off and I start placing everything in bowls placing it on the table. Cassi runs in climbing in her chair and I fill her cup sitting it by her and then I take my seat and start eating. We were all eating in silence when Cassi started choking. I jumped up running over to her patting her back and she finally coughed it up. I gave her a drink and when she was done her face was red and she had tears streaming down her face. I wipe them away and she sniffles and leans into me.

"I don't feel so good" Cassi says

"What do you say we go curl up in that big bed and watch the Little Mermaid?" I ask

"Um there is no tv in the bedroom or any other room" Ryan tells me

"WEll let's fix that. What do you say to some shopping?" I ask Cassi

"Yes please" She says smiling softly

"I got some work to do but you can take the SUV" Ryan says

I nod and go get dressed and Cassi, Melanie and I head out. We went to Best Buy and I bought Tv's for the bedroom, Cassi's room, Melanie's room, and the family room. I got DVD players and a bunch of movies. I got a surround sound for the bedroom and family room and then we headed back to the house. WHen we arrive Cassi ran into Ryan's office without knocking and he was in a meeting. I rushed in after her.

"I'm sorry. She got excited and wanted to tell you something." I tell him

"Nonsense. Come on squirt. What did you get?" Ryan asks lifting her on his lap

"Mommy got me a new tv for my room and some movies" She says smiling

"That's awesome. What movies did you get?" He asks her

"The little mermaid, the lion king 1,2, and 3 and Cars and some others. Can you help momma put it up for me?" She asks softly

"Sure. Squirt give me ten minutes and i'll come help." He tells her

She grins and kisses his cheek and jumps down and runs back to me grinning. I look at him and he winks at me and I roll my eyes.

"She loves me more" I say smirking

"I don't doubt that one bit" He says smiling

"i was joking" I say softly

"I know. I love a good challenge" He tells me

"ALright we will be in her room" I tell him

He nods and winks and we head to her room. I don't know how long we waited but we both fell asleep on her bed just talking.
