“Tyler says that Catherine freed him,” Skylar blurts out.
Henry and Flynt both give me incredulous looks.
“Come again,” Henry mutter. “Are you saying my dead sister freed you?”
‘She didn’t seem dead,’ I say in my mind.
“Tyler says she didn’t seem dead,” Skylar tells them.
“What do you mean she didn’t seem dead?” Flynt gives me a serious look.
I sigh, ‘She lifted me from the floor and then opened the door,’ I explain.
Skylar repeats what I just said.
“That’s impossible,” Flynt says, and I detect anger. “Catherine is dead,” He yells. “I felt her die.”
I shrug. ‘She told me not to say anything to you or Amber.’
“Tyler says he wasn’t supposed to say anything,” Skylar translates for me.
