Life After Escaping

        Winter's POV     I wish things were different. I miss my parents. It's been eight years, eight years of torture, eight years of being a slave. Eight years since he kidn*pped me.     My parents still haven't found me and I'm afraid they never will. I'm brought out of my thoughts when the doorbell rings. "Winter go to your room ad don't make a sound." Jonathan sternly tells me. Autumn come out of the kitchen hearing the commotion at the door. "I'll go with her to make sure she keeps quite" "Fine just not a sound do you hear me" he threatens. "Yes Master" I say lowly bowing my head. "Don't worry my dear it will be as if we aren't here and you're all by your lonesome with no one at all." She Says winking at me.       As we get to my room Autumn shuts the door and locks it. i give her a weird look because she always insists on us listening in to what him and his guest have to say. "Listen Winter, we have to go to the tunnels before he realizes what I've done." she says in a whisper, "What do you mean? Autumn what have you done?" I look at her in shock. "i called my brother to come distract him, he'll be punished for all that he's done to you. I never knew how cruel my husband was until i realized what those bracelets are made of. I thought he was just starting to be nicer and not take his anger out on you. I didn't like that he beat you if you did something wrong but i could never convince him to do otherwise, but those silver bracelets are constant torture." she says looking sad. "how will we carry our stuff" "leave your stuff here, we don't need anything dragging us down. I'll replace all your belongings and more when we get to coals." she says as we reach the exit. "okay but what about these?" I ask knowing we need a key. She only smiles at me while slowly raising the key in her hand, she undoes them and turns to me worriedly. "Winter do you think you can shift?" i look at her in terror "Autumn you know I can't" "sweetheart I need you to try, the only way he can't track us is on foot." But you won't be able to keep up." "oh you just wait cause I have a surprise for you.
