Divorce and Surprise
Helena looked at the man she has been with since high school, then turned her eyes toward the documents he placed in front of her. She took a deep breath, wanting to calm herself, but her shaking hands and trembling lips betrayed her, revealing her real emotions. “Why?” she asked softly, taking the papers and reading through them. A divorce agreement. “You know why, Helena. I have been understanding of you since we got married three years ago. When you told me you didn't want any kids because you're not ready yet, I agreed with you. I even comforted you,” Noah explained. If anyone was listening, they would have felt Noah was really the victim in this relationship, but Helena knew Noah wasn't a victim. Helena stood up from the couch, walked toward the windows of Noah's office, and stared at the view from afar. “You're only doing this because you got another woman pregnant.” Noah paused and let out a sigh. “Helena, I—” “Enough, Noah!” Helena cut off Noah's explanation with a shout. “I don't want to know why you did that. I'm just disappointed in you and in doubt of myself. When I told you that I didn't want a child years ago, you said it was okay, that the two of us would be happier together without any children, and now you're pinning all the blame on me?” Helena looked at Noah, staring into his eyes. Tears streamed down her face. She didn't let Noah butt in, so she continued to speak. “Why? Am I not worthy enough? Is my value to you so low that you would trade our years together for a woman you had just met online? For a woman you had just met personally two months ago? She's a b***h, and you're a dog in heat!” Noah stood up and interrupted Helena's hysterical behavior with a loud slam on his desk. “Don't you ever say that about Gia. She isn't a b***h, and I was the one who provoked her.” Helena looked at Noah's hypocritical behavior and let out a loud, sarcastic laugh. “Wow, so the woman who has been texting me for a month, sending me your pictures together in bed, and even sending a video of you doing that together isn't acting like a b***h? Oh wait… b***h might not be the right word, she needs a stronger one. She's a slut! And your child is a product of your sin!” Noah looked shocked the moment he heard Helena say that; his expression showed how his wife, who had been respectful and full of affection toward him before, could say such vulgar words. “Helena, I don't have time to talk to you. I'm just here to let you sign the divorce papers, and then we can part amicably. There's no need to damage our reputations over this, right?” Helena composed herself and wiped off her tears. After calming down, she stared at Noah and the papers on the table. “I won't sign this. See you in court. Do you really think I won't fight back? I have evidence of your affair, and the product of your sins still exists. I will make sure you regret everything you did to me right now.” Helena picked up her bag and walked toward the door when she remembered she forgot something important. She walked back to Noah and stopped in front of him. Noah was delighted and thought that Helena had changed her mind. “Did you change—” Ack! Noah cupped his center below and let out a cry of pain. “Serves you right. I hope your descendants cease to exist from this day onward. And oh, about your bastard child, I'm sure a fetus won't understand anything yet, but you don't need to worry, I will take care of it. You wouldn't want your sin to exist, right?” Helena raised her hands and slapped Noah's face hard. Noah wanted to stop or dodge her hands, but he couldn't because his junior was still hurting down there. SLAP! SLAP! “This is just a small interest. I will collect everything slowly from both of you, so you better watch out and see if your meager wealth can fight me. Hmp!” Helena said, and smacked Noah's face one more time with her bag. Thank goodness she managed to sneak a stone before entering his company because her instincts told her she would need it, and it turned out she was right. Helena Agnelli isn't someone you can just pick if you want to and throw away after using her for years. Helena walked out of Noah's company and called her lawyer. “Let's proceed with my case now. I want them to be left with nothing.” Her lawyer immediately replied and affirmed her words. She put down her phone and walked toward the parking lot. Noah's company was small and didn't have an underground parking lot, so her car was parked outside the building. She walked toward her car, preoccupied with her upcoming revenge. They wanted to be happy and live a normal life after hurting her? Oh, the audacity. She opened her phone again, remembering she still hadn't called her family. She told them the news. As expected, her parents were furious, and even her older brother became enraged, angrily deciding to bankrupt Noah's company that very day. Helena didn't care and just laughed it off. After telling her parents everything, she placed her phone inside her purse. She was five meters away from her car when she heard someone shouting something she couldn't catch clearly because of the strong wind. “Miss, get out of the way!” A voice shouted from behind her, and she looked back to see a girl waving and running toward her. She was about to ask why when she felt her body float in the air. It was just a fraction of a second, but it felt like a lifetime had passed. She got hit by a car. Helena's eyes widened, and her body felt numb. All she could see were people surrounding her and calling for an ambulance. Is she going to die this way? What about her revenge? She closed her eyes for a second and opened them again quickly. “What on earth?” Helena muttered in disbelief. She only closed her eyes for a second, and now she is in a jungle? Is she dreaming, or is she already dead and this is the afterlife? She stood up and looked at her clothes. She was still clean, wearing her dress from earlier. Even her bag was right there. She pinched her thighs hard to make sure she wasn't dreaming. So she really wasn't dead yet. Then where is she, and why is she not in the hospital? She picked up her phone to call her parents, but the battery had died. Shit. s**t. f**k! Helena was cursing in her mind, panicking and feeling very scared at that moment. She felt a rustle in the bushes behind her and quickly looked toward the source of the sound. And she saw… a wolf transforming into a human? A very handsome, tall man at that, with an eight-pack and a very yummy physique? If she was dreaming, please don't wake her up. Helena spoke to herself, her mouth drooling with a suspicious liquid.
