Timothy stood there, calm and smiling, as if nothing about this night carried the weight of what Nathan and I were about to tell him. “Hey, sorry I am late,” he said as he stepped inside and kissed my cheek. “Traffic was a nightmare,” I tried to smile, even though my hands were shaking slightly. “It is fine.
