Queen Ranesmay: Trials and Tribulations

Chapter 3 Death

Ranesmay’s POV

We finally made it out of that room 30 minutes before the celebration starts and we still have to make sure everything is ready. We went downstairs and into the living room and I found Sarah playing with my pups smiling. I come into the room and she doesn't sense me.

“I am glad that you are having fun with my pups Sarah.” I said trying to stifle my laugh because she jumped.

“Ranesmay you scared me half to death.” She says breathless.

“I’m sorry to sneak up on you but you should go get ready for the celebration it's in 30 minutes.” I told her.

“Okay what are we celebrating exactly?” She questioned.

“You will find out soon. If you want I can help you pick out your outfit for tonight and my mates can watch over the pups and finish all of the preparations for the celebration. Who knows you might just find your mate tonight.” I said with a smile.

“That would be helpful but I don’t think I have really anything to wear. Plus I honestly think if I find my mate tonight he or she would reject me.” She said with a frown on her face.

As we walked up the stairs I decided to ask what she meant by that. “Why do you think you will be rejected?” I asked.

“Well because I am not pure because of your grandfather and because I am a servant, I am just an Omega. This is my room.” She said.

“Well that will change because I do not tolerate that behavior. I just have one question for you, did he force you to have s*x with him?” I asked as we walked into her room. 

As I looked around I notice that she had a cot on the floor as a bed, one dresser with barely any clothes in it. She didn’t have anything to actually wear for tonight except work clothes and I just couldn’t believe my eyes.

“Yes he did force me to have s*x with him and when I said no he ordered me in his alpha tone so I wouldn't disobey. Whenever one of us disobeys or gets in his way when he was upset, we would be thrown in the dungeon and punished.” Sarah said and I could tell that she was on the brink of tears.

“Its okay that will never happen again. He is gone and I have decided to implement a new rule. Also things will change for the better so why don’t we go to the king and Queens room and make you look amazing.” I said.

“Thank you and why are you being nice to me?” She asked while leaving the room behind and while walking towards Ranesmays room. 

“You’re welcome and it is because I see goodness in you and I can see a really long friendship ahead of us.” I said and we finally reached my room. 

We stepped in and she sat on the bed while I went to the closet. I grabbed dark blue jeans and a sexy shirt to go with it. I came out of the closet and I see her just looking around. I smile because she looked like she has never seen this room before. 

“Here you go these should do it.” I said as she went to the bathroom to change.

Beast’s POV

I am happy that she finally found a friend within the pack and hopefully Sarah does find her mate. But anyways Bunny and I had decided to split all four pups in half so we can get more accomplished. She has Zaphrya and Mazikeen while I have Zander and Zane. I watched as Bunny left with the girls to go talk with the Beta’s and I had to make sure that the ballroom was completely set up. I walked to the kitchen and seen that the kitchen staff was setting all the snacks up in the ballroom with drinks. 

I walked over to both of the chefs and said “if the food is set up with extras of everything then you both should go get ready.”

They both nodded their heads and left. I looked around and seen that the others are still working. I sighed not knowing what to fully do or say for that mater. I seen that they refused to look up at me.

“Just letting you know the faster you guys work the faster you get to get off of work to get ready for tonight.” I said with a small smile on my face.

“We understand.” They all replied while looking down at their feet.

I did not understand why they were not looking up at me. So I decided to leave it alone and talk to Ranesmay about it later. I walked through the ballroom and seen that everything was set up just like we wanted it. I was happy that everything was completed before the celebration.  

Bunny’s POV

I head to both of the Beta's office to make sure that all of our allied packs, elders, and the King and Queen of werewolves were called. I am currently walking down the hallway that has the conference rooms and were the offices are located. I finally get to the Beta’s office and knocked on the door but there was no answer. So I decided to try the nob and it was unlocked. So I let myself in. 

“Hey guys I am coming in hope your decent.” I said jokingly as I walked in.

I thought I seen it all. I was frozen in my spot. Beta Ron was hanging from the ceiling. I sniffed around and seen that he has been dead for about an hour or so. I looked around but I did not see Beta Killer and I did not smell Beta Killer in this room. Thankfully both of my pups are asleep. 

I quickly mind linked Beast and Ranesmay. “You both need to get to the Beta’s office now.” I said and cut off the link.

Then I mind linked Beta Killer. “Come to the Beta’s Office NOW.” I said using my Alpha voice through the link and then I cut it off not waiting for a response.

I decided to take my pups out of the office and close the door. Two minutes later they all arrive at the office with confusion all over their faces. I looked at them with pain in my eyes and I didn’t say anything. All I did was point at the door and all three of them opened the door and walked in. I was looking down at our pups and I smiled down at them. I heard the door close behind me and I knew my mates and our Beta was behind me. 

Ranesmay POV

I was still with Sarah helping her get ready. When I received a mind link from Bunny. “Get to the Beta’s office now.” was all she said and I tried to link back but it was no use. I felt a sickened feeling in my stomach and I looked at Sarah.

“Hey I will be right back. Something happened that is needing my attention.” I told her hoping that she did not get alarmed.

“Okay I am just going to finish my hair and then I will be down.” Sarah said with a smile.

All I could do was smile back. Knowing something really bad happen for Bunny to mind link me like she did was never good. I quickly left the room and went down stairs and headed towards the Beta’s office. When I got there I seen Beast and Killer were walking towards her at the same time. I looked at Bunny and she not only looked like she was in pain but also sad. We looked at each other and then we looked back at Bunny. That is when we see her point to the door. 

Beast put our baby boys next to the girls. I grabbed the door knob and opened the door. That is when we seen Beta Ron hanging from a noose. I was in shock and from the smell you can tell he has been dead for about an hour, maybe a little longer. I covered my face and tears started to run down my face. I walked forward towards the desk and seen that there was an envelope with my name on it. I picked it up and opened it up.

Beta Ron’s POV

After our meeting I went to my office and called everyone to get everything set up and in place. I have been lonely and going crazy for quiet some time now and that is because King Zues killed my mate. I miss my mate so much and I am tired. I sat down at my desk and wrote a letter to my queen. I believes that she should know the truth of everything her grandfather has done.

Queen Ranesmay,

It has been a pleasure being your Beta but my time here has come to an end. Everything that you have requested from me has been done. I know that you don’t know everyone from the Lycans, so I want you to know that I have been suffering before you came. I am leaving a list of names with you that will help you decide who the next Lycan Beta should be and they are the most loyal out of everyone. 

You will do great things while you are queen. Just remember not to let the power of being Queen go to your head. I am finally going home to the moon goddess and I will finally be reunited with my mate. Your grandfather ruled with an iron fist and he was ruthless after his mate passed away. He killed my mate to show me what happens when you are late for a meeting. I am glad that you won the fight. Now you can make the changes for the better. Since I am still alive for the moment I want to put my vote in for the packs name change but I am going to change it a little bit. I am choosing the Lycan and Wolf Midnight Blue Moon Shadow Pack. I know that it is a mouth full but I could not decide between the Midnight Blue Moon Pack and Midnight Blue Shadow Pack. So I combined them and I hope you don’t mind.

The Names for the Beta Position

Warrior Kane - Male 26 years old - No mate

Warrior Celeste - Female 25 years old - No mate

Omega/Beta Sarah - Female 24 years old - No mate

Warrior James - Male 29 years old -  Mated

Warrior Derek - Male 21 years old - No mate

These are the pack members that I trust for the position as Beta. Yes four of them are warriors but one is of Omega and Beta blood. All of the names that I picked their folders are in the top right drawer of my desk. It is almost time for me to depart from this world. Oh and tell Alpha Bunny I am sorry she found me.

I folded the letter and put it in an envelope and addressed it to my queen. I will finally be with you my love. I grabbed the rope and made a noose and hung it up. I tied it down over by the book case. I stepped on my chair and put my head through the loop and then kicked my chair out of the way.

(Present)

Ranesmay POV

I finished reading the letter and at this point I was crying profusely. Beast came over and took me out of the room. I didn’t hear what he was saying to Beta Killer. I just kept looking over the letter. About fifteen minutes later I finally stopped crying and regained my composure. I looked at my mates and showed them the letter.

“Bunny he knew that you would find him and he told me to tell you that he is sorry.” I said to Bunny and she had tears in her eyes.

“Beast we need to let the pack know. The celebration of Beta’s Rons life and the name change will be happening tonight.” I said to him.

We got up from the floor and headed to the ball room. Everyone was already there and they all bowed as we entered. We got up on the stage to let everyone know what has happened.

“Good evening everyone. Sorry that it took us so long to get here and for that I apologize. But you should all know that Beta Ron is no longer with us and I would like a moment of silence.” I said with pain in my voice out loud and through the mind link to the guards that are currently on duty.
