Queen Ranesmay: Trials and Tribulations

Chapter 4 Celebration

Ranesmay’s POV

(Four minutes later)

“Thank you everyone. The reason why we called you all here is because we are changing the name of this pack and we want your help to decide. Now Beta Ron left me a new pack name in the letter he wrote me. I am going to tell you that name. If you all like the name that Beta Ron chose then raise your hand. Before I tell you please look at the names that my mates and myself came up with.” I said out loud and through the mind link to the guards that are currently on duty. 

I watched as everyone grabbed a ballet and looked over the names. I looked over at my mates with sorrow in my eyes for the death of a good Beta. I looked back out to the crowd and seen that everyone was waiting for me to continue.

“Now that you all have looked over the names that we came up with. Beta Ron stated in a letter that he left Queen Ranesmay saying that he couldn’t chose between two so he combined two of the names and added some. He is choosing Lycan and Wolf Midnight Blue Moon Shadow Pack. I want a show of hands letting me know that you like this name. If you prefer one of the names on the ballet please put a check mark by that name and bring it up.” Alpha Beast said.

As Beast was talking to all of the pack members that were in the ball room I mind linked the guards and told them what name Beta Ron came up with. At the same time Bunny was counting the hands in the air while I was counting the yay's or nay's from the guards on duty.

“The name that the late Beta Ron chose is Lycan and Wolf Midnight Blue Moon Shadow Pack. Please respond with yay or nay if you like this name. If you do not respond I will take it as you like one of the names that are on the ballet.” I mind linked the guards that are on patrol.

I received an answer from the guards and they all said yay to the name that Beta Ron came up with. I watched as both packs mingled and was getting to know each other. I was happy to see that almost all of of the pack members liked the name that Beta Ron chose. 

“Thank you everyone for their vote we will send out a mass mind link letting you know the results. We will be holding a funeral for Beta Ron tomorrow morning. Thank you for coming and please enjoy the snacks and drinks that we have prepared.” I said and then we left.

We walked back to the Office and grabbed the files in the top right drawer that Beta Ron left for me. Thankfully when we got there Beta Ron was taken down and taken to the mortuary below the pack hospital. We left the room and went to my office and I had Bunny plan his funeral arrangements. Then I had decided to have Beast and I look over the files that were left. We decided to split them in half and I asked if I could take three and he can take two. He said that is fine.

File 1: Warrior Kane

Kane Jones Jr.

Gender: Male

Age: 26 years old

High school Graduate with honors.

Mother: Judy Jones - Warriors

Father: Kane Jones - Warriors

Kane Jr. is an only child

Warrior Kane was born outside of this pack but his family came from Hollow Moon Pack when he was three years old. 

No criminal history 

Hobbies: Hunting and cooking

File 3: Omega/Beta Sarah

Sarah Meeks

Gender: Female

Age: 24 years old

High school Graduate

Mother: Alicia Meeks - 2nd Beta born

Father: Zack Meeks - Omega Born

Has two Twin brothers Names: Jason Meeks and Jaxton Meeks

Sarah was born outside of this pack but her family came from Shadow Moon Pack and moved here when she was 8 years old. 

Criminal History: Not doing chores, back talking the King, and refused to go to shelter when we were under attack.

Punishment: She was sent to the Dungeon and was whipped 25 times with a whip that was laced with silver for each punishment

Hobbies: Learning about the Beta's job duties, going for runs, shopping, loves spending time at the orphanage, and looking for her mate.

File 5: Warrior Derek

Derek Hobbs

Gender: Male

Age: 21 years old

High school Graduate.

Mother: Annabell Hobbs - Works as a Pack Nurse

Father: Joe Hobbs - Warrior

Derek is an only child

Derek was born inside of this pack.

No criminal history 

Hobbies: Hunting, running to the falls, and work.

I finally finished going through the files that I had and I looked over at Beast and I seen that he was already done. I wanted to know what he thought of Warrior Celeste and Warrior James, but he was still going through both files.

Beast's POV

We get into my mates office and she asked me if she could take three and I take two. I was fine with that since I am a slow reader. I just hope we can find her a good Beta with in these five files.

File 2: Warrior Celeste

Celeste Brown

Gender: Female

Age: 25 years old

High school and College Graduate - with honors

Mother: Beatrice Brown - King killed her for defending herself against another Warrior.

Father: Dennis Brown - King killed him for trying to save his mate from the another Warrior.

Celeste is an only child

Celeste was born inside of this pack.

No criminal history 

Hobbies: Hunting, training, warrior duties, and she works seven days out of the week.

File 4: Warrior James

James Alstead

Gender: Male

Age: 29 years old

High school graduate

Mother: Unknown

Father: Unknown

James is an only child as far as we know

James was born outside of this pack. Found abandoned in the woods right outside the territory

Grew up: In the Orphanage

No criminal history

Mates Name: Jenny Alstead

Pups: Jaxton and Jennifer Alstead

Hobbies: Hunting, running, and spends time with his pups and mates.

Wow Celeste seems obsessed with work and training and she seems uptight. James on the other hand is more family oriented on but also cares about his pack members. They are complete opposites from what their file says about them. I looked up and noticed that Ranesmay was waiting for me. I closed the file and waited for her to ask questions.

Ranesmay's POV

"Okay well I am done. What do you think about Warrior Celeste?" I asked.

"Well in her file and from what it says she is 25 years old, only child, went to college and graduated with honors and she has lived here her whole life." Beast stated.

"What happened to her parents?" I questioned.

"It says here that the King killed the wife for defending herself against another Warrior and her husband was killed for trying to save his mate. Ultimately the king did nothing to stop the other warrior." Beast said looking horrified.

"Okay that is tragic and not right but she seems uptight. What do you know about Warrior James?"

"I agree with you about Celeste. Warrior James lets see here. He grew up in the orphanage never new his parents and he is 29 years old. He lives in one of the houses on the territory with his mate and two kids, no criminal background." Beast said.

"Okay well I am wanting two Beta's so that they are not over worked. I am going to mind link all five of them and have them meet us in the conference room. Bunny how is the funeral planning going?"

"I am already done. I found out that Beta Ron already had a funeral plan that was payed for. So everything is already in motion." Bunny said.

"Please meet Alpha Beast, Alpha Bunny and myself in Conference room 1 please. If you are currently working please have another Warrior take your place." I mind linked all of them.

"At least he was prepared." I said to Bunny.

"Yeah I just told them that it will all need to be finished by the morning." Bunny said.

"Okay lets get to the conference room." I said.

We left the office and headed towards the conference room that I told them to meet us at. When we got there none of them were present so far. I decided to leave and go to the kitchen and pick up lunch for everyone since it is lunch time. I had two of the kitchen omegas help me carry everything back to the conference room and when I got back everyone was there. They did not take a seat but they stood waiting in the back. We set everything down and I thanked the kitchen staff and they left.

"Please have a seat and go ahead and dig in." I said.

"Queen Ranesmay thank you for lunch, but you and your mates must get your food before we can eat." Warrior James said.

Alright I thought and looked at my mates. They got up and made three plates and came back over. I watched as everyone else got there plates and sat down. I smiled at them and I decided that we would have this meeting after lunch.

"Now that everyone has their food lets eat and then we will discuss why I called you all in here." I said.

We all started eating and it was and it was to quiet and I hated the silence and before I could say anything Beast spoke up.

"So four of you are warriors. Are any of you friends?" Beast asked.

"No we just work together and that is all. Except for this Omega we don't work with her." Celeste said.

"Celeste please apologize. Everyone in this room has been hand selected by Beta Ron. While you are in front of me and my mates you will all use names and not ranks." I said with a hint of anger in my tone.

Bunny calmed me down and we went back to eating. Almost 30 minutes later we finally get done eating. We picked up our plates and the extra food and took it back to the kitchen and then we all headed back to the conference room.

"I appreciate you all for taking the time to meet with me and my mates. The reason why I summoned you all here is because of the Beta Position. Instead of choosing one of you I will be choosing two for this position. Warriors if you love the position you are at now please come forward and I will not consider you for these positions. Same goes for you Sarah." I said.

"Thank you for the thought Queen Ranesmay but I prefer to stay as a warrior." Warrior James and Warrior Kane both stated at the same time.

"Okay thank you both for your honesty. You are both dismissed. Does anyone else want to stay in their position?" I said to them with a smile.

"No my queen." The last three responded.

"Alright the rest of you please follow me and your interviews will begin." I responded and left the room.

(One hour later)

We finally met back in the conference room after the interviews were over. I had decided on making Sarah my head Beta and Derek my other Beta. It was a hard decision to make but also an easy one. During Celeste's interview she wasn't just up tight but she was rude, cruel to the lower ranked members, and she hated change. The other two they were enthusiastic about the job. I also found out that they both love protecting the pack and they both want to see the changes that we are trying to make. Also Sarah is the same Sarah I asked to watch my pups.

"I know some of you have to get back to work. But the two that we have chosen to become my new Beta's are Sarah as Head Beta and Derek you will be my second Beta." I said.

"Sarah is a nobody, she is not worthy of the Beta position, I am. SHE IS WEAK AND WORTHLESS. ALL SHE IS, IS A DIRTY OMEGA." Celeste Screamed.

This pissed me off. I used my levitation power to lift her up and I said "YOU WILL CALM DOWN. The reason we did not pick you is because you think you are better than everyone. You hate change and you are rude and cruel. YOU WILL ADDRESS HEAD BETA SARAH AS SUCH and if you won't then leave and become a rouge. NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT." I yelled at her.

"Beta Derek please find out what she decides to do. If she decides to leave please mind link me and let me know before you tell her that she will be seen as an enemy and we won't hesitate to kill her on site if she comes back to the territory. Please escort her off of our territory if she does decide to leave." I asked.

"Yes Queen Ranesmay." Beta Derek said and with that he left. 

"Head Beta Sarah welcome to your new role. We will all be leaving in an hour to go shopping since you don't have that many clothes. Also with your new role there comes with upgrades. So please follow me to the Beta's floor." I said to her with a smile.

As we were heading up to the Beta's floor I received a mind link from Derek. "My Queen she has decided to leave the pack." He said.

"Please walk her to the end of our territory and tell her what I told you to say. Also once that is done please meet us on the Beta's floor." I mind linked back.

"Yes Queen Ranesmay." Beta Derek replied.

Everyone stopped walking because I stopped. "I, Queen Ranesmay of the Lycan Kings Pack banish you Celeste Brown. You are now an enemy of this Pack if you return you will be killed on sight." I said in my queens voice.

I felt her bond break with not only me but also with the entire pack. I looked up at everyone and continued the walk up to the Beta's floor. The rest of the walk was silent and quick. I went through the hallway to the living room for the Beta's and sat down.

I decided to mind link Beta Killer to come up to the Beta's floor. He responded quick with a yes Luna. 

(Five minutes later)

Beta Killers POV

I went up to the Beta floor with Warrior Derek following me. I was confused on why he was headed the same way but I figured I would find out. When we got up to the floor I was hit with this amazing smell. I smelled fresh cinnamon sticks with a hint of honey and I followed it to the living room. I can't believe that I am this close to my mate. I looked around and seen one unmated female but she did not look at me. We both sat down and waited. My wolf was going crazy and he wanted to come out and mark her. But I held him back.

"As you know Killer, I needed to select a new Beta for the Lycan's. Because of the recent events with Beta Ron's suicide I had to fill the position quickly. I want to introduce you to my Head Beta Sarah and Beta Derek." Ranesmay said.

So my mates name is Sarah that is a beautiful name. I hope she does not reject me. I have waited to long for my mate and I am not giving her up. I nodded my head to Derek to acknowledge him and then I looked at Sarah and she finally looked at me. My wolf was going crazy and I seen fear in her beautiful blue eyes. I quickly got up and grabbed her and said "MINE".  

"Beta Killer put her down now." Luna Ranesmay said and I growled at her.

"BETA KILLER YOU WILL NOT GROWL AT OUR MATE AND YOU WILL DO WHAT SHE TOLD YOU TO DO." Beast commanded me in his alpha tone.

"Sorry Alpha's and Luna." I said and I put her down and I sat back down and placed her on my lap.

"Now as I was saying, Beta Killer will you please show Derek to his new room and so that way he can get settled. Once you are finished meet us in my office." Ranesmay said.

"Yes Luna." I said.

"Sarah please follow me to my office. Beast I want you to come with us and Bunny please make sure that Derek has everything that he will need."  Ranesmay asked.
