Chapter 5 The night before and the Beta's Funeral

Head Beta Sarah's POV

We were just sitting there waiting for the other Beta's to arrive when I was hit with this amazing smell of fresh wood and rain. I looked down knowing that if he finds out who I am he will reject me. I am scared. My Lycan Emma told me that I need to stop fearing the worst and you never know he might accept you. Queen Ranesmay was introducing us and I had no choice I looked up. I looked into his eyes and seen lust and love. I had fear coursing through my body and next thing I know is I am up in the air and the words that came out of his mouth shocked me. "MINE". Killer said. 

I was shaking and did not know what to do so I stayed quiet. I listened as Queen Ranesmay told him to put me down and he growled at her. I was so scared and the fact that he did not listen to her scared me even more. Alpha Beast yelled at him in his alpha tone and that is when he apologized and put me down, but he didn't let go. He sat back down in his spot and pulled me on top of him. 

I tuned everyone except the queen out because she was my new friend. Killer and I stood up from the couch and on the other side Derek got up and they both left. I watched as he walked away already missing him. I looked over at Ranesmay and she told me to follow her.

Ranesmay, Beast, and I all left the beta's floor and went towards Ranesmay's office. When we all arrived we sat down and I decided to speak up. "I don't know what I will do if he rejects me." I said out loud to no one in particular.

"He won't reject you, he has been waiting for you ever since he turned 16." Beast commented.

"I know where you are coming from Sarah. Yes I might have been a lycan princess and an Alpha's daughter but I was also scared that Bunny and Beast would reject me because I was no longer pure. Yes our situations are different but I understand your fear. Plus he would be stupid to reject you." Ranesmay said.

"What if he finds out that I am actually half omega and not full Beta?"  I questioned.

"That is why we are having a meeting with both of you. Plus if he rejects you I will help you through the process." Ranesmay stated with a smile on her face.

I was getting ready to respond when the door swung open and Killer walks in. I looked at him with the fear of rejection still in my eyes and I was waiting for him to say the line and reject me but it never came.

"Killer I know you want to spend time with your mate. But first you need to sit down and listen." Beast said.

I watched as he walked over and sat right beside me and he did the one thing that I did not expect him to do. He put his hand on my leg and I felt the tingles all through out my skin. I looked down and smiled and then I looked back up to Ranesmay and waited for her to speak.

"Sarah do you want him to look at your file or do you want me to tell him?" Ranesmay asked with sincerity in her voice.

"Can you just tell him." I said.

She nodded her head and then continued. "Killer as you know Sarah is my head beta but she was born half Omega and half Beta. She does have a criminal record in her file that I am personally going to investigate because I don't think she should have a criminal record in the first place. I am going to read you her file and I want you to get to know her before you even think about rejection. I am only going to summarize her file." Ranesmay said.

I looked over at Killer and I could see that his wolf was trying to take over but he finally got his wolf in check and said. "Okay continue."

"Her name is Sarah Meeks, she is 24 years old and she is a high school graduate. Her mother is Beta born while her father is an Omega born. She has two twin brothers that is younger than her. She is not originally from here and she moved here when she was 8 years old. Her criminal history is for not doing chores, back talking King Zues, and she refused to seek shelter when the pack was under attack. For each one of these crimes she was sent to the dungeon and was whipped 25 times for each crime that she committed. She loves going for runs, and spending time at the orphanage." I said and I watched as he was going through all of the information that I just gave to him.

Killers POV

After Ranesmay finished summarizing Sarah's file. I am now understanding why she is fearing us; fearing me. She is scared that we are going to reject her because of her past. I looked down at my lap trying to keep my anger in check. I was not mad at them. I am mad because my mate was beaten and assaulted because of stupid criminal charges. Criminal charges that weren't even criminal. The punishments should have been running 50 miles but never whipped.

I looked back up and said. "I don't care about the fact that you are not full Beta blood or the fact that you have a criminal background. I am accepting you if you give me a chance, I promise you that I will love you unconditionally. I know that you are sensing rage from me but that is because you weren't punished you were abused." I said.

"Sarah do you accept him as your mate?" Ranesmay asked with a smile.

"I need to go for a run. No I am not rejecting you but I have been preparing my heart, body, soul, and mind for the day that I meet my mate and my mate rejects me. I am overjoyed that you are accepting me. But right now I need to think." She said with a small smile on her face and she gets up and leaves. 

Sarah's POV

I left the Queen's office and headed outside to the woods. I went behind a tree and shifted into my black and grey wolf. I raised my head and sniffed the air. I felt the wet dirt under my paws. I started to run at a slow pace and then I allowed Emma to take over. We ran for about 15 minutes and I was finally ready to go back and give them my answer. I ran back to where I left my clothes only to find that they are gone. Sometimes I hate this pack and this is the reason why I stopped running. I went up to the castle and mind linked Queen Ranesmay.

"Ranesmay can you all come outside with clothes. Someone stole the clothes that I left for me to change back into." I said through the mind link.

"We will be there in a minute." She replied back with a hint of anger in her voice.

Two minutes later they come outside and handed me clothes. While I was changing I received a pack mind link from the queen herself.

"This weekend we will be having a ceremony with all of our allied packs, elders, and the Queen and King of the Werewolves. I will not tolerate anybody bullying anyone. If anyone stole Sarah's clothes they will not be punished if they bring them back. Also as of now Sarah is my head beta and Derek is my second beta. You will treat them with the respect that you show me and my mates." She finished and cut off the mind link.

After I finished getting dressed, I told Killer that I accepted him as my mate. We went to my room grabbed the little stuff I did have and took it to his room. We went back down stairs and they were all waiting for us and we went shopping.

Ranesmay's POV

I watched as Sarah and Killer both come down and I could see that Killer was pissed off at the way they made his mate live. She barely had any clothes and she just had a cot on the floor. I know that it is not easy for him to see how they treated her. But that is all going to change. I will make sure that everyone will be treated fairly and they will have everything they need.

"So you guys ready to go shopping?" I asked.

"Yep, lets go." Sarah said.

As we walked out of the front door, I seen that there's two SUV's waiting for us. We got into one and the body guards got in the other. Once we were about to drive off I had received a mind link from Joseph our Diener and Funeral director.

"Hello my Queen, I wanted to let you know that Beta Ron is ready to go and we can have the funeral at 9 am tomorrow." Joseph said through the mind link.

"Okay thank you, I will let everyone know when the funeral will be." I mind linked him back.

I decided to do a mass mind link for both packs. "I want to let everyone know that tomorrow morning at 9 am will be beta Ron's funeral. Anyone who wants to attend is welcome to come. We will meet at the palace at 8:30 am and go from there." After I said what I needed to say I closed the link.

We headed towards the gates to leave the territory. It was silent for a little while and then Beast spoke up.

"So where are we headed?" Beast asked.

"We are going to the mall. Sarah are you ready to shop until you drop?" I asked with a smile on my face.

"Honestly yes I love shopping but I never really have the money to do so." Sarah said.

"Well you wont have to worry about that anymore. Hey Derek do you need anything?" I asked.

"Honestly no, I don't as a warrior we were never really allowed to leave the territory unless we went to another territory. King Zues had only two omega's do all of the shopping and even then it was just to Wal-mart and back. But I might get some new clothes." Derek said the last part excitedly.

"Wow, so you guys really didn't have freedom on your off time. Well that is going to change, right Ranesmay." Bunny said.

"Yes everyone can go to the mall or out during their free time. Derek why don't you tell us what you like to do?" I asked wanting to get to know my new beta.

"Well as my file said I am 21 years old, and I am an only child. When I go on runs there is a waterfall on the pack territory that I love going to just to think. I don't have a mate and I am a virgin. I tried to keep my hobbies to myself and some of them are not in my file." Derek replied smiling.

"Okay well do you think you could show us this waterfall it sounds very peaceful?" Beast asked.

"Yeah I always wanted to take friends there and have fun in the water. But being a warrior you weren't allowed to have friends." Derek said that with a huge smile on his face.

"Okay well we are here now and you can consider us your friends Derek. Sarah what stores would you like to go into first?" I asked getting out of the SUV.

"Can we go to Victoria Secret. I have always wanted to go in there." She said as all of the guys groaned and I smiled at her.

"Yeah, I think you would like it but you might be shy at first, but we can get some things to torture our mates with." I said all giddy while walking towards the mall

"Why did the guys groan, even the guards groaned?" Sarah asked.

"You will see. Lets go." I said as I grabbed Bunny's hand and Sarah's.

I was excited to go to Victoria Secret. Not only because I love teasing my mates, but also because they have the cutest clothes. We get there and we go in while the guys stay outside of the store. We spent about an hour in this store and we finally came out. I heard the guys say finally and we went through the entire mall and went to about twelve other stores, by the time we were finished it was 7 pm. 

"Okay well we are here now and you can consider us your friends Derek. Sarah what stores would you like to go into first?" I asked getting out of the SUV.

"Can we go to Victoria Secret. I have always wanted to go in there." She said as all of the guys groaned and I smiled at her.

"Yeah, I think you would like it but you might be shy at first, but we can get some things to torture our mates with." I said all giddy while walking towards the mall

"Why did the guys groan, even the guards groaned?" Sarah asked.

"You will see. Lets go." I said as I grabbed Bunny's hand and Sarah's.

We spent about an hour in this store and we finally came out. I heard the guys say finally and we went through the entire mall and went to about twelve other stores, by the time we were finished it was 7 pm. 

"Can we leave yet?" Killer asked.

"Don't worry Killer we are done for today." I replied to him.

He sighed and said "finally." All I did was chuckle.

We headed back to the SUV's when I felt someone staring at us. It was weird but I just shook it off. We all climbed back in and left. We turned on the radio and we were laughing and singing along. It was nice going out with my mates and spending time with my new friends. But I am hungry and tired. 

On the way back we all seen McDonald's and I asked if we could stop at McDonald's. We went in and got food then ate inside. I was happy because I got food in my system and I didn't have to wait until we got back to the territory. It did not take that long to get our food and we scarfed it down. When we finished we left and headed back to the territory. We stopped by the palace to drop off Derek, Sarah, and Killer. Thankfully we had our pups, instead of leaving them with a nursery teacher and headed straight for our house. When we got there, we went in I had two of our pups and Bunny had the other two and Beast carried our bags in and sat them down in the living room. We took our pups out of the car seats and took them to their room and put them down for the night.

I went back to the living room and grabbed all of the bags and took them to our room. When I got there I noticed that Beast had already stripped and was in the shower. I decided to put our bags in the closet. Then I stripped and joined him. Bunny on the other hand decided to change into her night clothes and  lay down to go to sleep. 

I went into the bathroom and went into the shower and wrapped my arms around his waist. He tensed up at first and then he felt the sparks from my touch. He turned around and held me under the hot water and it felt great and relaxing. He had already washed his body and I watched him grab my sponge and he put my favorite soap on it and washed my body.

After about an hour of being in the shower and having passionate s*x we finally decided to get out and go to bed. I cuddled up next to Bunny and Beast was holding me from behind. With my mates scents surrounding me, it did not take that long for me to fall asleep.

(The next morning)

Beast's POV

I woke up at around 7 am to get ready for Beta Ron's funeral. We had decided that we would cancel morning training for everyone today since the funeral is at 9 am. I woke Ranesmay and Bunny up so we can all get ready for the funeral. I went and got the pups clothes. I turned around and I seen Bunny and Ranesmay were there and getting ready to change the pups diapers but they had a shocked look on their face.

I walked over and I seen that our pups had grown again. I looked at Ranesmay and then at Bunny with a confused look on my face. Because we didn't really have any time to ask questions we went ahead and finished getting them ready. 

It took us almost an hour to get not only ourselves ready but also our pups ready. We were finally leaving our house and headed to the palace. When we got there we were happy to see that almost the entire pack was outside waiting for us to get there, including my pack members. We went inside and met up with our beta's. 

By this time it was 8:30 am and we found out that the pack had a cemetery. So we went back outside and Ranesmay spoke.

"Good morning everyone. I am glad that you all came today. Today is a sad day, we lost a very special person in our pack. Beta Ron was loyal, kind, and helpful to those that needed it. When I took over as Queen of the Lycan's, he helped me get used to my role and my duties as your queen. I know that Beta Ron was always there for everyone in this pack, and I am hoping that won't change when it comes to our new beta's. Beta Ron wouldn't want us to cry over losing him, but he would want us to be happy for him because he is back with his mate and the moon goddess. Since everyone is here after the funeral we will let you all know what the new name for this pack will be. Later tonight we will have the ceremony for everyone taking their new role, not only as King and Queens but both of my new beta's. After tonight will be the new beginnings for this pack." Ranesmay said with a sad smile on her face.

"Now lets get over to the cemetery and bury our late Beta." I said.

We walked to the cemetery in a comfortable silence. You can hear some of the pack members crying and mourning the loss of Beta Ron. I am happy that Beta Ron has finally been reunited with his mate but I am sad that he felt he had to kill himself. We finally arrived after walking for ten minutes and we see Joseph standing right next to the casket.

Josephs POV

I have been at the cemetery since 8 am trying to get my thoughts together and figure out what I am going to say. My Lycan Jasper and I have known Beta Ron for over ten years and I knew his mate Maria, they were in love for awhile before they finally told everyone that they were mates. I was sad when I found out King Zues killed Maria to punish him. He didn't deserve that kind of punishment. After I heard what happened I kept my self away from King Zues. I started to hear some pack members crying and that got me out of my thoughts. I looked up and I seen everyone coming towards me. I let everyone get settled and after 2 minutes I decided to start talking to them.

"Thank you all for coming. I know that it was a short notice, but I am glad that you all came. It is hard to bury a friend, a neighbor, a family member. I have known Beta Ron for ten plus years now and I believe that Beta Ron was family to all of us. Even to Alpha Beast and Alpha Bunny's pack. I know that the last time I spoke to Beta Ron was when he had to bury his mate Maria. He told me that he wanted to be buried right above her so he would always be able to protect her, even in the afterlife. I told him that no matter what happens I would do that for him. He was so broken that day and yesterday he was reunited with her. He is no longer in pain and he is no longer going crazy without his mate by his side. I believe that the moon goddess wanted him back and she felt that it was time for him to come home." I said with tears coming down my face.

I regained my composer and started again. "He was loved by many and today I believe that we should celebrate his life then to mourn his lost. Everything that happens today will not be in vain and he will not be forgotten. He is finally back home with his mate." I finished my speech and with that we lowered the casket and filled it back up with dirt.

Ranesmay's POV

"Thank you Joseph for the beautiful service. I want everyone to know to be on their best behavior as all of our allied packs, the elders, and the King and Queen of the wolves are coming to day to witness not only me becoming the queen but us changing the name of the pack and introducing my new Beta's. With everyone's vote yesterday about the packs name it didn't take long to find out what a lot of you chose. Including Beta Ron's vote. After tonight we will be the Lycan and Wolf Midnight Blue Moon Shadow Pack. Please help each other out today." I said.

"Also there will not be any training today as we all need to get ready for everyone to show up. There is breakfast in the dining room for everyone. Please help yourselves eat and spend time with each other. Everyone will start arriving at 2 pm today so please make sure everyone has rooms to stay in. If you have any questions please see Beta Killer, Head Beta Sarah, and or Beta Derek. That is all for now." Beast said.
