Alpha Hunter
I've been searching for her my whole life. The one who can bring me back. The me I am supposed to be.
I was indeed an alpha, a true alpha of Western Springs. My brother is the alpha of the Silver Moon Pack. Confusing, I know right?
Let me explain. We both have the same mother, but I have a different father. She was both their Luna's problem was they both weren't ready to give up their pack to be with her or share her. I am the eldest of both of us. Mom chose dad which made his father mad and delusion they decided to take it upon themselves to fight and see who won the rights to my mother, unfortunately, this didn't solve a lot as they were both reigning alphas of different packs so it should've been a fight to the death, but my mother stepped in the way and told them they were being ridiculous and had them agree to share her, which went surprisingly well until my mother had me and she got more attached to my father and more detached to his this began a full-on war.
Which unfortunately wiped most of my father's pack out, him included. This gave his father the chance to take my mother away to his pack and reign by his side as his Luna. A year later my baby brother was born. I never resented him and we were always close. But I began to resent his father though he had taken me in.
I hated the fact he killed my father to get what he wanted.
So I sought my revenge through the years, and I eventually got it when my brother became the new alpha of the Silver Moon Pack.
He truly deserved it; he was a true alpha like I was.
That was the day I made my move and killed his father mercilessly. I never looked back after that day everyone had said I'd turned feral and into a rogue.
The truth is I've been building my pack up to take over my brothers. They are all two-faced snakes in the grass and would do anything to make themselves look good even turn against their alpha. I know he trusts his Beta, but can he trust him?
Lincoln contacted me a week ago with the news that I've been waiting years for. He'd finally found her and the goddess had finally led her to him. I told him to keep her safe at all costs until I got there. She was destined to be by my side and rule over all werewolves.
That was what the prophecy had initiated unless, of course, she chose another. Which was highly doubtful. I know all there is to know about her past relationships.
They had failed because she was destined to be with me. I don't think the other wolves will stand a chance with me to get to her.
Alpha Lincoln
I walked whistling through the house happy to know my brother would be arriving in a few days to meet our Luna.
Yes, ours. Little did he know she had been fated to us both.
Though we weren't twins we were both Alphas and we held Alpha genes. I know why he killed my father and I didn't hold anything against him. If the roles were switched I would've done the same thing.
He had been banished five years ago and he was never supposed to set foot here ever again. But with the new revolution, I had taken his banishment away.
He had been searching for the missing piece since he turned sixteen and I knew she was it.
Abby was our missing piece, the moon goddess's daughter.
We all had so much to learn from one another. I was going to her room. Hunter wanted it to be a surprise, but I just couldn't wait to tell her the exciting news.
I hadn't seen my big brother since he got banished and turned Rogue, but he was still my brother nonetheless.
I knocked on her door. "Abby, it's me Lincoln, can I come in?"
Nothing.
So I tried again. And again this was getting ridiculous. "I'm coming in, you better have a good explanation why.." I said, opening the door. Not in here.
Shit.
"This isn't funny Abby."
Shit s**t s**t.
I ran out of the room after discovering she wasn't in the bathroom screaming her name.
"What are you screaming at Lincoln? Some of us are trying to sleep."
"Abby is gone."
"Are you sure?"
"She's not in her room."
"I'll find the link for the warriors to search the grounds."
"Yes, Alpha."
We ran through the hallways shouting for her. "Alpha she's nowhere to be found, her kids are gone too."
Fuck.
Fuck.
Fuck.
I had to let my brother know. "Hunter. She's gone."
"What did you mean gone? She can't just vanish into thin air?"
"I don't know. I left her in her room and now she's not there or anywhere else on the grounds."
"Meet me on the South edge of the border."
"Yes, brother."
"And only bring your most trusted wolves."
"Will do."
"One hour brother." He said cutting off our link.
I hung my head low. This was a disaster. No, it was a goddamn nightmare.
I made my way up the stairs to her room.
I slipped in and sat on the bed.
"She left. I should've tried harder to keep her here."
"You can't keep someone here who doesn't feel safe here, Lincoln."
"What do you mean Drago? How can she not be safe here?"
"There's a strange shift happening here. I don't like Lincoln. She felt it too, and so did Storm. We need to find her and we need to make sure she's safe. There's a storm coming Lincoln and I don't like it one bit. Get your most trusted warriors to gather and we'll meet Hunter and Zeus." Drago said cutting off our mind link.
I mind linked my betta to get our best warriors gathered and we were to meet Hunter at the South edge of the border.
Once we were out in the open we shifted into our wolves to meet my brother at the South edge of the border. I hope I could trust these wolves after everything Drago had said.
Alpha Hunter
It's been almost an hour. I hope for the love of God my dumbass brother has brought only his trustworthy warriors.
"Their coming Alpha."
I looked over the moles of dried-out grassland and sure enough, I could see my stepbrother and at least fifty wolves with him. And of course, he had to bring that two-faced beta along with him.
I hate the little prick and I also hate his gamma, but I have to push that aside because he's too blind to see that these are the very wolves he shouldn't be associated with. He chose them as his second and third in command because we were all friends, well used to be anyway.
They both turned on me when I killed their alpha, Lincoln and my father. He f*****g deserved it. He had never had any time for me. I was just the runt, the mistake that caused his mate to break their bond.
He only ever had pure hatred for me. Until the day I let all my anger out at him for all the years he has neglected me and failed me as a father, one that was supposed to love their child, yet never did. The one that was suited to protect their child, but failed.
Those two were as two-faced as they come. He has no idea those would rather go behind his back and deceive him and stab him in the back than stand by him and fight by his side for what's right and not what's wrong. But, that's his problem. He won't ever believe me if I warn him anyway. He'll find out soon enough that he can't trust anyone in his pack, but his f*****g shadow and by that time I fear it will be too late.
I wait and watch as they approach us. I hope this doesn't turn into a s**t show.
Alpha Lincoln
I know that Hunter has issues with my beta and gamma, but I trust them as much as I trust him. We've been through so much together. If it weren't for my beta I would never have found out Abby's true identity.
I can't believe she ran and didn't tell me how anxious she was feeling about my pack.
"I can." My wolf mutters. I haven't heard much from him once he had mind-linked my beta.
"s**t is going to go down Lincoln. Trust no one not even your closest friends they could turn out to be your enemies. The only person you can trust is you, not even your f*****g shadow."
"What about my brother? Can I trust him?"
"That you have no choice in. You're bound by blood by the daughter of the moon goddess. You should be grateful you both share that bond. All this could be a worse s**t show than it's going to become. There is a storm coming Lincoln."
"So you keep saying."
"You'll know who you can truly trust when the time comes, just remember to keep your friends close and your enemies closer."
"Sure what the hell that even means anyway."
"You'll find out soon." My wolf says, cutting out the link.
I know I should trust my two best friends with my life, they've saved me so many times, but can I trust them this time? I surely hope so.
I look at Hunter as I approach him and his warriors. We both smile and pull each other into a bro hug. Considering he had been banished he doesn't smell like any of the rogues that I had encountered. He smelt like a fresh summer breeze. Not like rotting flesh.
"Hunter."
"Lincoln, it's been too long.'
I couldn't agree more. "I've missed you, brother."
"I miss you too."
We slapped each other's backs and moved away from each other. "Lincoln these are my strongest wolves; my right-hand wolf; Marshall and my left hand; Creed."
I nodded, shaking their hands. "And this is my Beta Damion and my Gamma Colton."
They shook hands. God, I hope they can get along for everyone's sake.
"Let's go, we have a lot to discuss."
I nodded.
"Follow me."
We followed behind my brother. I guess we were going to his territory to enumerate a plan.
