Episode 4 King Hugh's Dragon   Alina   We mounted our dragons and started to head west. Although, I know that I have flown over water before; there is something eerie about seeing nothing but water underneath you. We are flying for around a half-hour when I start to see an island in the distance.   I sigh in relief.     said Emily with a smile.         As we are approaching, I’m struck by the scenery differences here vs in my kingdom.  La Foret is full of greenery and mountains.  While La Mer is bright and colorful. Light tropical sands, palm trees, fruit trees groves, and flower gardens. Even their large castle seems to be the color of sand.     We land in a large courtyard surrounded by colorful flowers. Some of the flowers I recognize, sunflowers and lilies, but there is one that I do not.   I say this while pointing to a red, tropical flower.     said Ava with a knowing smile.          said Emily as she dismounted from her dragon.     I do my best to hide my disappointment. I take the saddle off my dragon and follow Ava and Emily into a large barn-like structure. I hear a loud groan that could only come from a dragon.   I ask Ava.     Her previously happy expression turned somewhat sad as she says             She nods and leads to the other side of the barn. We exit, and sure enough, I see a large aqua-colored dragon, laying on his side looking like he is in pain. I slowly walk up to him and run a hand down his neck. He doesn’t make any attempt to get up. I eventually reach his stomach area and that’s when I notice how bloated his stomach area is.           I look over and I see both Ava and Emily’s dragon both have bloated bellies.     “Hmmm, what are they being fed?>     “I… don’t know. We have a servant that takes care of that”> said, Ava     I reply back.   said Emily skeptically.         said Ava as she grabs my hand and we run towards the castle.   We run past the guards who give us a weird look.   asked one of the guards.     said Ava as we continued to run. We enter a long hallway with windows on one side and burst through two large doors. On the other side is a large library. The keeper of the library walks up to us.         “Do you have a copy of Sir George’s book Dragon Care Through the Ages?” I ask quickly. The keeper of the library nods and pulls out a thick leather book and puts it on a table for us. I look through the table of contents and find the chapter on Elemental Dragon’s and find the water element.   “Yes! Right here. Elemental dragons came from water creatures. They’re to be fed mostly fish, other vegetables, and greens. Land dragons are to be fed meat. They came from land animals.   I point this out to both Emily and Ava. Ava grabs a piece of paper shoves it in the book, grabs the book and my hand, and we start running again. We run back down the hallway and make a sharp left into a large entryway. We again burst through two large doors, but this time into the throne room.     There are three men looking at something on a large wooden table. Ava runs up and throws the book on top of whatever they were looking at.     asks King Hugh.         King Hughes face looks startled as he reads through the text.   “I’m not sure Ava…. Guard, bring the dragon keeper in now!”     I curtsey before saying..     He looks at me       The King looks puzzled, but nods.         “…you read your secondary reading?  I can’t even get some of my children to read their primary reading…let alone the extra credit!” said King Hugh while glaring at Ava. Who was looking anywhere but at us.   The guard brought in the dragon keeper. The keeper had never cared for elemental dragons before and had no idea of their special diet. The King dismissed us while he decided on the dragon keeper’s fate.
